I'm an engineer living in Coventry. I love camping, canoeing, traveling, and reading good books. I have a lot of passion for life which I love to share with my friends. In general I love trying new things and going new places around town.

I'm currently single and looking for for a companion for romance, passion, and adventure. I find intelligence and/or artistic endeavor incredibly attractive. I love cuddling and physical affection. I'm a very open and caring person and value that in others.

I have a lot of geeky hobbies, but don't consider myself to be
socially inept. I like games of all types (video, board, tabletop,
cards). I'm also always looking for other people to check out independent movies, live theatre, and other random happenings around town with so if that's your kind of thing drop me a line.

I'm loving living in Cleveland (this town is better than people give it credit for, you just have to go out and find the stuff that's there). I'm working as an engineer at a foundry that does casting for the aerospace industry; its really interesting and intellectually fulfilling (to me at least) and still leaves me with a decent amount of free time. I love reading and hanging out or playing games with local friends. When I have the free time I also like to go and visit friends that live further away and occasionally get into random hijinx and adventures.

Being loyal to my friends. Enjoying life. Spending quality time with friends. Loving those I care about. Cuddling and comforting. Cats seem to always like me at first sight.

I'm something of a quiet guy until I get a feel for people, then I tend to open up a lot more. I know its become almost cliche to say eyes, but I've gotten too many comments from you ladies about them to completely disregard them as an attractive feature.

Books: Way too many to list here. Anything by Lovecraft, Gibson, Thomas Pynchon, Neal Stephenson, P.J. O'Roarke, Philip K. Dick, Heinlein, Asimov, Hunter Thompson, or Robert Anton Wilson. Alan Moore comics, and series like Hellboy, Preacher and Transmetropolitan. Pretty much whatever catches my fancy whether it be fiction, non-fiction, or humor. Currently reading: The Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin (its really good, I highly recommend it)

Movies: Once again a lot to list: Thomas Crown Affair, Amelie, Aliens (or anything else by Cameron), Grosse Point Blank and High Fidelity, Death to Smoochy, Kevin Smith movies, Indiana Jones and Star Wars, Serenity, cheesy horror movies with zombie or vampires as well. My all-time favorite movie is Big Trouble in Little China (I have yet to find a female fan of this movie, but I hold onto hope). TV: Firefly, Red Dwarf, Venture Brothers, Futurama, Heroes, Fringe. I also like checking out new independent movies pretty regularly and this year was my first time attending the Cleveland International Film Festival.

Music: Wide variety excluding most country and rap. Especially love older punk like Social Distortion. Favorites are Social D, The Misfits, and Black Flag. Newer stuff like Green Day, Alkaline Trio (back when they were poetic, not overly calculated), cheesy electronic music like Freezepop, Anamanaguchi, Orbital, and power metal like Rhapsody of Fire. I also love Irish-ish punk like The Pogues, Dropkick Murphys, and Flogging Molly (and if you get me drunk enough I will sing along with The Clancy Brothers).

Foods: Anything ethnic or unusual. I like to try almost anything at least once. Especially like spicy foods like mexican or indian( <3 Chipotle). Anthony Bourdain is my hero.

Friends, family, computers, cats, books, games.

The future, and sometimes philosophy or politics. Less and less often do I think about politics anymore, it makes me either intellectually enraged or cynical.

Hanging out with friends or family. Maybe taking a trip camping somewhere or maybe only as far as some place new or interesting here in the city. Occasionally I swing down to Columbus to visit old friends from growing up or my younger brother and his band down in Cinci. I'm not opposed to staying in and watching movies occasionally either.

I'm a romantic at heart. (admittedly this isn't that private, but what do you expect on a free dating site).

In the more platonic sense, if you are looking for someone to hang with and check out new/interesting stuff around the city I'm always looking for new friends too.
