I'm from the East Coast. Yes. You can tell the minute I start to talk. No, I don't have an accent. I'm a ball-buster, I love to joke around and I'm pretty much East Coast *grin*

To answer your question: I don't know how I like it here. There are some beautiful aspects of this area that I know I will miss should I ever leave. There are, however, some aspects that I won't mind leaving behind should I ever leave.

Speaking of which, here's a joke: A girl from New York and a girl from the West Coast were seated side by side on an airplane. The New York girl, being friendly and all said, "So, where ya from?" The west coast girl said, "From a place where they know better than to use a preposition at the end of a sentence."
The girl from New York, sat quietly for a few moments and then replied: "So, where ya from, bitch?"

I work for a non-profit organization ... It's an amazing organization and I'm surprised that we aren't in every major city across the nation just rocking everyone's world... I am in the process of adding more to my already over-flowing plate -- I'm considering going back for my doctorate in Education.

For the last year I tried really hard to keep the East-Coaster within from coming out but really ... somethings are just futile.

I'm definitely going to explore Mt. Rainier... I'm told it's an actual mountain ... *grin*
I have embarked on the quest to find my favourite micro/a-brew.

Having moved to a new place lends to the challenge of befriending new people. I'm pretty open-minded and love intellectual challenges, be they through debate, conversation, sudoku or reading books of new interest.

Talking with my hands... the more passionate I get about the subject matter, the more animated I get and the faster my hands are going...

Chess, making margaritas ... I make a *great* margarita ...

making people laugh, tequila shots, and babbling... even on here.. it's a gift.. really.. it is ...

Overall, I'm about having a good time, laughing with friends, having a couple of drinks and engaging in great conversation.

I recently came to the *painful* realization that I suck at billiards after not playing for four years. so, now looking to get more practice.

*sigh* So I broke down and asked a friend and he said my hair... which was sort of surprising because he met me AFTER I cut off 14 inches of it and donated it to Locks for Love ... I can see that being the first thing though -- it's a beast and should have a zip code of its own LOL

Here's a twist... *I* notice a person's hands first. It's a non-sexual turn on (sort of like intelligence) ... There are certain types of hands and fingers that are really attractive to me.

(a) Depends on my mood... I have some "comfort" books that I read all the time just because they're great books... Anything by Stephen King or Caleb Carr, Terry Brooks, David Eddings, Dan Brown, Nelson DeMille, Gaiman ...

I read a lot of history books, non-fiction, sci-fi, biography... and I tend to get a lot of books of one subject. I have an extensive collection of books on Queen Elizabeth I, Che Guverra, FDR and Eleanor, The Hurricane on 1938, The Israel/Palestine Conflict, the Achievement Gap... You get the idea...

I *love* to learn and will go to the bookstore to get several books on a subject of interest.

(b) same thing ... I like horror, dramas, action, psych thrillers, comedy ... not big on chick flicks ...

(c) *Sigh* There's a little bit of everything on there. Not a big fan of country, polka, bluegrass, speed metal or death rap.

Food to me can be a very sensual thing.

... playing catch-up.

Here's my disclaimer: I work ... a lot. I wish I had the kind of job where I clock in at 9 and out by 5 and then forget about work until the next business day, but, I don't. And I'm ok with that.
It doesn't mean that I never go out. I love having a great time and being with friends, going for a drink, shooting pool, road trips, movies, etc... I'm an ubber social being.

It does, however, mean that some fridays, I'm actually just at home or my favourite bar, with friends, just relaxing.

Other Fridays -- "well, that's what we, in the biz, call partay time."

Some weekends I'm working. Yes, until 1 am. Yes, it happens. Yes I work from home as much as I work from the office. Yes, it sucks. But it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make right now because it's bigger than me and it's something I believe in wholeheartedly.

So... no, I don't consider myself a work-a-holic but the truth is, I work a lot. *Please* understand that.

If it's not something you think you can handle, be honest -- with yourself and with me. :)

1) I don't own a single pair of jeans.
2) When the mood strikes me, I dance around my apartment like I'm Madonna and yes, sometimes I sing to the dog.
3) I have two wardrobes -- Business professional and almost homeless.
4) When I clean the apartment I have the radio AND tv on.
5) I sing in the car -- a lot -- regardless of who is in the car with me.
6) I'm smart but sometimes can't find my keys and it's frustrating.
7) I never wear socks.
8) I'm a leaf on the wind... watch how I soar ...

I'm once bitten, twice shy ... it's worth the wait.
I'm an open book to most and have no secrets. YOU, however, have to ask the questions.

I do, however, reserve the right to slam that book shut :)
