Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love traveling, both by car and by air. But not alone, which is
partly why I'm on this website. I enjoy hiking, but I'm not
hardcore about it. Day hikes are just fine. Not real big on
camping, but that can be fun too w/ the right person. I'm more into
renting a cabin w/ a fireplace.
Love the Caribbean and try to get a week there at least every other
year. Lots of great places in the USA I haven't seen yet. I'm more
drawn to natural wonders than man-made, so I'm not as attracted to
NYC and Vegas as I am to Yellowstone and Sedona. Occasional visits
to wineries can be fun, and make great day trips. Love Autumn best.
I'm a pretty good photographer and cook, but again, I don't live
it. Enjoy all kinds of music except rap and opera. My Ipod runs the
gamut from country to pop, current music all the way back to a few
from the 1940s.
I have two dogs, mutts I acquired from the animal shelter. They're
fun, but I'm not obsessed with them, though I have taken them
through training and occasionally take them to one of the area dog
parks to run & play. I also take them hiking on occasion, but
there aren't a lot of places that allow you to do that off-leash,
which is my preference.
My personal aspirations include finding a special someone with an
optimistic, yet realistic bent, with whom I can enjoy life's

Off the top of my head...
Most of my reading these days is online, but my fave books have
included -- anything by Dave Barry, biographies, The Life and
Times of the Thunderbolt Kid, Please Understand Me,
and a few "understanding the Bible" -type books.
I'm not one to watch a movie over & over. For that reason, the
few I own, I almost never watch. However, some that I never seem to
tire of include comedies like Vacation and Christmas
Vacation. I've also been enjoying some old classic black &
white movies recently, from the 40s & 50s. It's fun to see how
different things were then.
Changes, depending on my mood and what I'm doing. Some of the
artists I listen to never made it into the mainstream.
I'm originally from New Orleans and though I do enjoy eating out,
more often I will cook for my friends here at the house. They don't
complain. In fact, some change their evening plans in order to not
miss out when I'm making things like cream of crab soup, seafood
gumbo, red bean & rice, salmon with cucumber/dill sauce,
steaks, crepes, etc.
