My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Me, in as few and as well-spelled words as possible. You can see my vital stats here, so other than being a 54 year old male, I am a musician, businessman, and a voracious consumer of knowledge. I feel compelled to find out everything about whatever captures my imagination, and to master whatever I take on.

I like the things most folks like, but have somewhat esoteric tastes in them you might say. I love movies, I like jazz, punk and more different musics than I can list and keep this readable, and my great interests for sheer passionate fascination are history and baseball, Orioles, Nationals and Giants fan, and Strat-O-Matic junkie.

Politically, I am Center-Left, somewhat post-ideological, and I don't like the far left or right-wing orthodoxies. I try judge ideas by if they are true, effective and morally right, and take positions and support candidates accordingly. I believe in universal human rights, and that the liberal, democratic republic is the best system of government.

I tend to be somewhat dry, but, I am a very caring and affectionate person with my friends and lovers. I am an INTJ, if you find that sort of thing interesting.

I identify as a BDSM Dominant, and am in a polyamorous triad with my submissives va_bonnie and a girl not on OKC. I am seeking friendship and more with open and ecclectic-minded women.

I'm here at ok cupid to meet interesting people. I love this site for its highly geeky and nerdy ambiance.

I am this, that, and the other thing
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Getting my music out. Working to put as many of my synth patches and samples into as many DAWs(Digital Audio Workstations) as possible. Playing Stratomatic online ATG 8 game. That, and loafing as much and as often as possible.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Doing my best.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Good question. I've never noticed what people notice about me.

Books: Moneyball by Michael Lewis, The Grand Strategy of the Roman Empire From the First to the Third Centuries AD by Edward Luttwak, Tom Paine and Revolutionary America by Eric Foner, Battle Cry Of Freedom The Civil War Era by James McPherson, The Guns Of August by Barbara Tuchman. Currently reading Shakespeare"s Kings by John Julius Norwich. Next will be The Proud Tower by Barbara Tuchman. Comic Books: Classic Marvel: Spider Man, Daredevil, The Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men etc. The Spiderman, X-Men and Iron Man films are very good, Daredevil was flawed but I liked it, and the FF movie was awful. I loved Thor and Captain America, and the Avengers was brilliant. Age of Ultron and the Winter Soldier were both outstanding.

Movies: The Avengers, Dr Strangelove, The Strange Love of Martha Ivers, Bride Of The Monster, The Remains of the Day, The Human Tornado, and Tombstone The Producers(original) for a few specifics off the top of my head, and too many to further enumerate. Also seen and loved were The Butler, Iron Man 3, Star Trek Into Darkness and The World's End. In general, science fiction, film noir, classics(1910's-1970's), and cheesiness in any genre, anything so bad it's good, eg SyFy movies such as Sharknado, Megashark Vs Giant Octopus, etc.

TV: Any and all Star Trek, DS9 is my favorite. Stargates SG1 and Atlantis. Dr. Who is an all-time favorite. I loved HBO's Rome and Deadwood, and I'm a sucker for any historical drama. Among current shows, Agents of SHIELD, Top Gear, and various History Channel(s), BBC America and Turner Classic Movies.

Music: Jazz, punk, funk, reggae, prog rock, classic R&B more stuff than I know how to describe. Miles Davis, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel, Mad Professor, U2, Parliament-Funkadelic, Talking Heads, Johnny Cash, James Brown, Brian Eno, The Clash...

Food: Italian, Mexican, seafood, fried chicken, my own cooking
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
food, water, clothes, tv, the web, my studio
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
History, politics, sound design, plans for world conquest. The critical linkages between economic growth, ending poverty and building a post-carbon economy. Figuring out a way to someday, somehow explain what is a virtual instrument and what I do so non-specialists will have some sense of it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Relaxing with va_bonnie and our girlfriend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
