My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
In true form (and you'll see why in a second):

If it matters to you, depending on the day, the MBTI has scored me as an INTP, INFP, and INTJ.

I am an inquisitive person who values knowledge and justice. I try my best to approach things with logic and rationality, although my impulsive streak sometimes gets the better of me--which is not always unpleasant... I like thinking, learning, investigating, probing. I have a creative side that I like to indulge when I can, whether it's through music, writing, building things, or whatever. I like neat things, but I don't care much about "stuff" for its own sake.

I tend to do best with fewer people. Big gatherings and loud/crowded places tire me out after a while, and I definitely have to take time to occasionally be by myself to recharge my inner batteries. But I love talking to interesting people, getting beyond small talk, joking around (sometimes at my expense!), and nerdplay/wordplay.

Not really my bag, as I'm a pretty devout atheist, but some of the inspirational/philosophical aspects of Buddhism and Hinduism appeal to me.

I'm pretty average height, but I think that overall I give off a kind of "long and lean" impression. I like being active/doing outdoorsy things, but I know there are still a lot of interesting nearby places that I haven't visited yet. I've been staying regular at the gym for a little while now for mental and physical well-being, but I'm not holding my breath for the super-soldier serum to kick in...

Basically, I enjoy looking and feeling at least reasonably fit and healthy. And luckily, I'm one of those people who doesn't get sick very often, which comes in handy when one is frequently exposed to as many exciting types of animal poop as I am.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been in Portland for not quite a year and a half now, gradually checking things out.

My home life sounds like something out of a Portlandia sketch. I live on a working farm run by a delightful lesbian couple. A few days before I wrote this, I saw a goat five minutes after it was born. The other day there were two turkeys chilling on the roof outside my bedroom window.

Because we've done a lot of work together, the household is pretty tight-knit. I help out however I can within whatever the weather and my time/energy/attention span will allow. I got laid off from my "real" job, but haven't been in any hurry to get back to the 9-5 grind. There's plenty to do on a farm in the warm months--plus I still have a modest income, so I've been able to take some time off and still do what I want, within reason.

Helping good people with their dream and just figuring shit out. Dealing with the small questions, like how I want to spend the next portion of my life on this planet.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Ridiculous portmanteaus.
Staying calm in a crisis.

Keeping an open mind, but not so open that my brains fall out.

That I probably already noticed them. Then, depending on how cooperative my ridiculous cowlick is being that day, probably that.

This is a lot more fun to talk about in person, isn't it?
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
For now, I can do without making this profile any longer than it already is. Now just imagine I said that five more times!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.

On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm writing this part on a Saturday, so do you want to know what I did last night? I stayed up late, played a Sinead O'Connor song on my guitar, then decided it would be good to listen to an '80s hair metal playlist on YouTube. I wrote some Facebook messages to my little sister on the East Coast, and I played Spelunky. Yes, substances were involved. No, I'm not ashamed.

And no, not all Fridays are like that, but some of 'em are. Let she among you who has no Netflix in her evenings cast the first stone.

If you have a little mystery to you.

If you, like me, are not necessarily in the market for anything super cereal and potentially not anything exclusive, but are also not necessarily opposed to things developing (or not!) as they will--then we're on the same page. I want to make connections with people who enjoy the time we spend together, whatever the context.

Dating is a game people play. I don't like to overthink it, except when I do. And like most games, the way you play can make the experience really shitty or really fun. No intensity isn't fun.

But, y'know, we're all gonna die anyhow. Sleep tight! :)
