My self-summary
I'm a physicist and history geek with a particular love for astronomy and ancient European history. I'm a bit of a hermit. I prefer the company of a few friends at a time watching movies, chatting at a low key bar or playing board games (Settlers of Catan is all the rage now). When I'm alone I read, watch TV, play MMO video games, exercise, paint or enjoy a clove cigarette while watching the sun set. I like laughing at anything and I am very open-minded about different points of view. I have never been interested in casual sex, but I enjoy pleasing women I really like after they have proven they are worthy. I believe in the old concepts of honor and truth. I would rather be miserable with the truth than live happily with a lie. I am a trusting and kind person until I have been wronged and then I hold a grudge until I die. When I was a kid I liked to run around in the woods and look under rocks and logs and see what critters would come crawling out, the natural world fascinated me and much of that curiosity remains.
What I’m doing with my life
I study history and science and I am still accumulating knowledge all the time on random subjects. I like knowing the ways of things. To that end I have been a locomotive mechanic, archaeologist, teacher and physicist. I hope to have a job that allows me to travel or live in foreign countries periodically. I finished my master's in physics doing research on synthetic diamonds for industrial purposes. Because of this I hate DeBeers and will never buy a woman a diamond unless it is the glowy kind. Since I was young I have been preparing for the next world war and it is starting to look as if it is going to happen because a massive, global, financial collapse is now unavoidable.

UPDATE 2012: I am now working as an environmental engineer and teaching part-time. Have recently become obsessed with economic theory and aliens (the space kind!).
I’m really good at
Playing diplomat, conversing with strangers on any subject, showing genuine affection, being alone, following my intuition, predicting how events will unfold, seeing through people, devouring pizza, crushing people with hugs, killing zombies in Left for Dead.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm weird, but as they get to know me they like me. This is an interesting question, I will have to ask more strangers when they first meet me (Apparently my attempts to go unnoticed by The Man are working since most people don't realize how badass I am until they hang out with me a few times).

I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future, the past, how strange it is to be alive now, love, sex and warfare. New combinations and the ways of change. The cosmos and why it bothered to exist in the first place. Sometimes I watch clouds and thunderstorms or stare at the stars until I feel myself falling into the deep.
On a typical Friday night I am
Who knows, I have no typical Friday nights. Bar (I'm an Upside Down Plaza denizen), kegger, random party, out to a movie, playing board games, dorking out by myself playing video games....
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like the natural patterns of hair on women, shaved nether regions turn me off.
