My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I enjoy life to the fullest, and rarely have a dull moment. I spent 12 years on higher education, and am just now entering the "real world" (sidebar: the advertised horrors of the "real world" have not really materialized; having an income is fantastic). I love hanging out with my friends (who doesn't). I'm somewhat sarcastic. I watch reality trash on VH1 and I'm not ashamed of it. I can't dance, but I still try. I hate cold weather. I think Batman is the best superhero. Superman is boring. I enjoy trivia only if it's completely irrelevant. I'm somewhat of a nerd. Actually, I'm a pretty big nerd, but that comes with the territory of having done inconceivable amounts of higher education. I've also become a bit of a runner lately (who knew!), and hopefully will be able to maintain my efforts through the winter.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm new (ish) to the ATL (is it still cool to call it that?) , so I'm learning the city and trying all sorts of new things here (other newbies: Sweetbread is NOT what it sounds like here. Sweetwater sort of is.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Telling good stories. My life experiences have been pretty good so far, and I have a lot to share.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
They think I look like Michael Cera's character in Juno (Paulie Bleeker) or Jason Biggs in American Pie. And no, I've never knocked up a 16 year old or fornicated with a pastry.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

As far as books go, the two authors I enjoy most are Kurt Vonnegut and Stephen King. I have read all of the Harry Potter books (again, not ashamed), and I'm game for any good story really. I'm not a huge movie buff, but I do really like mindless comedies (sort of a guilty pleasure) like Happy Gilmore, Tommy Boy, Wedding Crashers, etc. You get the idea. My musical taste varies from pre-teen pop (Miley Cyrus/Katy Perry/Kesha, etc aren't THAT bad) to polka (my grandma loved the polka show on the radio growing up), and everything in between. I mostly prefer 90s/2000s pop and rock, as well as some country (I grew up in Appalachia, give me a break). I'm not particular at all about food, with rare exception. One that comes to mind is that I really hate mayonnaise.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. DVR: I have a pretty hectic life, and this allows me to feed my TV addiction without interrupting my life.
2. Ipod/phone: I really love music, and having it available on the go is a must. The iphone also serves the function of "directional savior" in that my tendency to get lost has gone down exponentially with it.
3. Bike: One of my favorite things to do in summer is to go for a random ride; I'm trying to learn more about the PATH system here so that hopefully I'll be able to use it to explore a little.
4. Voice Mail: I'm reasonably busy, and miss about 50% of my phone calls (probably an exaggeration).
5. Athletic Shorts: When I'm not in public, I wear them 90% of the time.
6. Alarm clock: A little too practical maybe, but honestly there is no way I would be able to get up at the obscenely early hour of the day that my job requires without it
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why the hell didn't I invent the selfie stick?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It really depends on the Friday night. Work responsibilities keep me busy, so sometimes I have to take care of that stuff. But on an ideal Friday night, I'm hanging with my friends, either at a bar enjoying drinks or elsewhere.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!

You are intelligent, interesting, etc. Interesting is the most important part; I hate boring people.
