How's it going?

I guess I am a pretty chill guy. I have lived here for a little over a year now and hopefully I can meet some cool people on here and see where it takes us.

I am a Post-Doc at Duke. You can ask me what what I work on. I am addicted to climbing. I decided to randomly teach myself upright bass. Hopefully I get past the nursery rhyme level soon. I'm getting close. I try to run/bike a lot. After doing the Krispy Kreme challenge in under an hour, my new goal is to break 50 minutes. I never eat sweet things, so 12 donuts was pretty painful. I am starting a section hike adventure on the Appalachian Trail in the beginning of March. 120 miles in 6 days. I guess I like challenges.

Enjoying life and getting the most out of everything I do. It is rare to find me in a down mood. Also, making pizza, except the one time I accidentally put mint on it. I'm also good at trying to do too many things at once. Dominating trivia at Fullsteam.

Book: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I should probably read more. I am usually just reading papers for work.
Movie: The Big Lebowski, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, any cheesy action movie, sci-fi
Show: Lost and Arrested Development were awesome. Parks and Rec, Louis CK (Lincoln), Always Sunny, Breaking Bad, the league, the Walking Dead.
Music: Pretty wide taste, but Pearl Jam always does it for me. Minus the Bear, STP, Budos Band, Weezer, Jurassic 5, MMW, We Are Scientists, Papa Grows Funk, Bad Religion, Tenacious D are the last 10 bands on spotify. I am pretty much into anything, but haven't found much country. Going to Whiskey for jazz. Can't stop listening to Maps & Atlases.
Food: Any food, as long as it isn't bug derived. I can't refuse spicy food. I eat Atomic wings for fun. I tend to eat burritos more often than I should. I like cooking Turkey's for Thanksgiving. When I am feeling "healthy" I go two whole foods and buy an absurdly large salad which probably isn't healthy at all.

The meaning of life? I don't know, I think about a lot of things. How to use the space in my new apartment. I want to build things.

Rock Climbing. I climb on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays usually. Otherwise, probably just out eating or getting a drink somewhere. But mostly just climbing.

I really don't like bugs.
