My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm a software engineer living in Portland, I've got a dog and an apartment. I walk to and from work. I've got a car for trips to the gorge or the coast.

I'm from the midwest (Iowa) and I've been here in Portland since March of 2013.

I like movies and TV shows, I go through phases of playing video games a few times a year. I enjoy hiking and sightseeing (People watching).

I brew beer and make cider, I try to learn something from someone every day, and I'm just going about my day to day
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
When I'm not writing software, I can be found hiking or in a coffee shop almost every weekend, rain or shine. Cooking amazing food (Thai soup, stuffed pumpkin, avocado eggs), and whatever else strikes my fancy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall, and I'm told I have very pretty eyes
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Favorite Music:
Churchills, Death Cab,
Fitz and the Tantrums,
Blind Pilot,
The Constellations,
The Kills
Ok enough music

Books, I'll read anything, but my all time favorite would still have to be The Count of Monte Cristo, I just finished "Go Set a Watchman" and very much enjoyed it. I'm currently working through "Kurt Vonnegut: Letters"

I'll watch any movie, no real favorites or must rewatch, or the life suckers known as "Stop and watch TV surfing movies".

I take the above back, "Big Trouble in Little China" is the greatest 80s action movie ever, discuss.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1.My dog.
2.My Car
3.The Internet.
6.My Bike
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Code, it's a side effect of what I do. I also like to think about what I see around me. And trying to guess what other people are thinking about the things around them too.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably out with my friends or just staying in, it all depends on the week
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Here's my latest "Portland as fuck" moment, I hiked up Wahkeena falls to the springs to source water for a beer batch I brewed.

You're chill and ready to give this a try.

I'm kind of over the whole message back and forth thing, I feel like it's better to just go get a coffee or a beer at a nice public place and see if there's any kind of connection.
