My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Oh, I'm a geek. Period. it turns some people off and for a while, I took it out of my profile...but, I have to be who I am. Also, I'm an extrovert with introverted tendencies. Most of the time, I would prefer being out with friends doing something; drinks, dinner, a cheapo movie, a show,...but there are times when I prefer to stay at home and lounge with netflix, a book, or just a few friends.

I have a career in academia that I really enjoy, but I'm not in front of a class teaching all day, nor do I work directly with students, rather, I work heavily behind the scenes in technology for online education, and I really enjoy what I do.

I have goals - I'm taking the first steps down the long road of obtaining my Masters degree. I'm also a writer trying to get published with three novels written, a novella and a bunch of short stories.

I'm also a huge movie nerd...seriously. I have about 1200 discs and THEN access to Netflix; I even have an old school Laserdisc Player. Video gaming is a good pastime (for hand-eye coordination, of course), and reading is a must (if not a text book for class then something that holds my attention). I love getting out with my friends and being around town, or at a dive bar...there has to be a pool table for me to consider it a dive bar, or, sawdust and/or peanut shells on the floor. I love camping and being out in the forest also...I love getting away when I can.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I have a great job that I really enjoy going to every morning - I get to work with some really awesome people in the academia field.

I enjoy spending time with friends and doing my own thing, but, I'm at that point where I'd like to find someone - a best friend that could turn into something much more, which turns into long term, which turn into doing the while family thing...

I'm also a writer trying to get published and a photographer; but, sadly, neither pay the bills (yet).

The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The first thing(s) people normally notice about me is my personality and laughter - I've been told that my laughter and personality fill a room. I'm easy to talk to and very easy to get along with. I've also been told I have a dominant voice that grabs everyone's attention when it's needed.

And my blue eyes.
And my sarcasm.
And my honesty.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
6 things is way too little of an amount that I need in my life...that being said...

My laptop, iPad, iPhone (Creating, work, reading)
My core group of friends (They are like family)
My camera and photo editing software
My actual family because we are close
Let's face it...sex.
Intimacy (Because it's different than sex)
Trust and understanding.
My cats
A sketchbook
My car, because I drive over cycling.
A good time
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
On a personal level...how I can improve myself, how I look at things, how I react, and ultimately how I can just BE...outside of this...I honestly think a lot about time. The universe and our place in it, where I stand in the universe, the next book I want to write, the next photo I want to take, the next person I want to met, the next story idea to put down on paper - I think a lot about how everything intersects and how everything happens for a reason.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm either with friends catching a movie at the Laurelhurst or at someone's house...or in for a board game night, Netflix'ing movies, trying something new...there are also times where you will find me flying solo at the bookstore or out for a late night drive; perhaps even with friends having dinner.

Some people find it intimidating that I'm overly extroverted and that I'm out doing SOMETHING a lot, either by myself or with friends...that's mainly because I'm single; I like being out, but that doesn't mean I'm adverse to spending a nite in relaxing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm willing to answer any question. Seriously. I'm completely willing to answer any question no matter how personal it might be or how simple it might be.
