I’m a vegan, pansexual, left wing, tree-hugging, Whovian, atheist/half-assed-Buddhist, bike riding, backpacking, neurotic, musician and geology nerd. I think that about sums it up.

Just moved back near Lima to vegetate for the summer, but during the school year I study Geo-Environmental Science at Hocking College in Nelsonville (I know I'm a bit old for college, but it's better than driving forklift for the rest of my life). I spend the rest of my time back in Cbus playing guitar for “Southside Chiefs” and trying to get my ass back in shape after a winter full of junk food, beer and sitting on my duff.

Causing myself physical harm, snapping spokes, falling UP stairs, arguing with hog farmers, geologizing, making lentil soup, acting the fool, cutting a rug.

Maybe my eyeballs, or my dirty feets, or that I have hurt myself somehow.

Music: Lots! My taste in music is all over the place, but I'm a pop-punker/ HC kid at heart: Propagandhi, Strike Anywhere, Boy Sets Fire, Lifetime, The Weakerthans, The Swellers (my band is going to be playing with them soon. Movies: Lots of Indie Dramas, Indie Rom Coms, "Coming of Age" flicks, foreign Drama, Documentaries. Anything by Hayao Miyazaki. The occasional Asian Horror or Martial arts flick (There's nothing quite as entertaining as watching Tony Jaa break a dude's knee). Also, I'm an artsy, awkward 30-something year old white guy, which means I LOVE Wes Anderson.

Books: I used to read lots of non-fiction books about how the world is going to hell in a handbasket. Nowadays I’ve been reading a lot of indie sci-fi books about what happens after the world goes to hell in a hand basket. I'm also big into nature/ travel writing.
A Few Favs: Oryx and Crake, The Fourth Realm Trilogy, Wool/ the Bern Saga, Siddhartha, the Jungle, The God Delusion, Animal Liberation, Into the Wild, anything by Thich Nhat Hanh, John Muir, Bill Bryson and Farley Mowat.

Food: If it doesn't have animal parts/secretions in it, I'll give it a try. I try to eat as much raw, whole foods as possible, but I'm kind of a junkfood junky at heart (none of my friends from Cbus are allowed to visit me without bringing me cookies/ muffins from Pattycake Bakery). I could drink olive oil by the gallon. Just give me some good olive oil and some fresh crusty bread and I'm a happy boy. Also, I could eat falafel everyday.

Shows: I try not to spend too much time in front of a screen, but when I do watch shows, it's Dr. Who,Torchwood, Futurama, Deadwood, Walking Dead, Firefly, MST3K and Finding Bigfoot/ anything else involving cryptozoology.

I like to think that I could deal with nothing but my multi-tool, a bag of trail mix, and my "go get 'em" attitude.

Buying a motorbike (with a sidecar for my pup) and taking off cross-country.

We go into people's houses, and wreck up the place!!

Side note: Most vegans and veggies on here say "It's OK if you're a meat eater, I won't judge you". Well, it's not OK, and I will judge you. Also, if you say you're an animal lover or environmentalist and you still eat meat, you're full of shit. I hate having to be an ass about it, but those are my honest feelings.
Another side note: Lots of people on here say they're "laid back, down to earth and hate drama". Well, in my experience, the people that go out of their way to say that they hate drama are the most dramatic fuckers I know. Just admit it, we are all neurotic, over emotional, and completely batshit. It's the human spirit.
