My self-summary
I am a person who does not suffer fools kindly.
What I’m doing with my life
Working, working out. Raising kids, making new friends. Playing games. Aspiring to a better life while doing my best to appreciate what I have.
I’m really good at
Troubleshooting computer hardware. Running fun and complex tabletop RPG campaigns. Brewing coffee and tea, and (sometimes) being a huge snob about it. Drinking interesting beer and being a snob about that. Being a dad. Discussing many varied topics with more authority than I strictly have the right to.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height or my curly hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Podcasts: This American Life, Planet Money, Jordan, Jesse, GO!, WTF, Doug Loves Movies, The Savage Lovecast (Dan Savage is an American Hero,) Who Charted?, How Did This Get Made?

Food: I like food that shows care and excellence in preparation. I am pretty open to any cuisine that I am unfamiliar with, and I have yet to encounter a cuisine I did not enjoy to some degree. I have special affection for Thai and Vietnamese, but I also enjoy a good burger or fried chicken as well.
The six things I could never do without
Food, water, shelter, clothing, internet, other people.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Politics, the environment, urban planning, economics, human rights, human wrongs, what I want to eat tonight.

I also wonder why the zombie apocalypse has started taking over so much of our mindshare. Nuclear nightmares made sense during the cold war, do we NEED some vague, horrific world-ending fantasy? Do other countries have this obsession or is it only America?
On a typical Friday night I am
Wouldn't YOU like to know?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I never got why Seinfeld was such a big deal.
