My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a geeky, general quiet person, who likes good food, good drinks and good books.

I'm not one for crowds, and would much rather spend time having a good dinner with a small group of friends than checking out latest busy club.

I can be shy in new situations, but it doesn't take too long for the opinions and the sarcasm to come out.

I'm more of a pessimist than an optimist, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the smaller pleasures of life, like basking in the park on a beautiful day.

I'm also really into stand up comedy, and would love to have someone to go to shows with. (Louis CK, Patton Oswalt, Dylan Moran and Tim Minchin are a few of my current favorites)

Rationality matters to me. I devour sci-fi/fantasy/horror fiction, but fiction is where that stuff strictly stays. I'm very much a skeptic. Pseudoscience is an active harm upon the world and gets in the way of real scientific progress.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working as a paralegal in the city while I try to figure out just what it is I want to do with my life.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking. I don't get to do it as often as I like, as cooking for one isn't all that exciting. But I love trying new recipes and experimenting in the kitchen. I'm also a pretty damned good baker, and I love filling the apartment with the smell of freshly baked cookies.

Empathy. I'm always there for people when they need me. I'm a good shoulder to cry on.

Recommending books/tv/movies. A bit weird to put this on the list, maybe. But I get great pleasure out of turning my friends and family on to things that I know they'll love.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm pretty quiet before I get to know people, but once you start talking to me your are probably going to notice:

My sarcasm.
My passion for the things I care about.
My (embarrassingly) loud laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family, friends, the internet, books, hot sauce, good tv
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Science versus faith (I'm a huge fan of badscience.net).

Politics (I'm very much a liberal, from a family of people who are very much liberal). I majored in Political Science in college, and loved debating anything and everything in the political realm.

Movies/books/tv/comics/other geeky thing. I love to think/talk about the pop culture stuff I'm into. I could spend hours talking about the finer points of Deadwood or Reservoir Dogs. And as much as I should be embarrassed to admit it, I have given more than a little consideration to who would win in a fight between Batman and Superman.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends, or enjoying a quiet night in with a good book and a mug of tea.

It's not that I don't ever enjoy doing anything super-social, I'm just typically a more low-key kind of gal.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How ever geeky you think I am from reading my profile, I am actually probably a bit more geeky than that.

Yeah, I collect action figures from various shows/movies/comics that I love.

If that amount of geekiness scares you off (which is fair enough) it's probably better to find that out now.
