My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I moved to Los Angeles from Georgia about ten years ago. I like it here. I have some very dear friends in LA, and I manage to get into a fair amount of adventures with them. I really like spending time outdoors; hiking, backpacking, camping. Mountains are some of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen, as is the ocean, and the desert . . . ok, all of outside is pretty great (including the sky). I've recently taken up astronomy and astrophotography, which is truly amazing stuff. When I’m not outside, I like a nice movie, boardgames with friends, a quiet to medium loud bar, a good restaurant, grilling out with friends, a nerdy marathon of old shows on Netflix, a nerdy marathon of new shows on Netflix, etc.

I have a seasonal beard. It comes and goes. (It is gone for the summer.)

I’d like to think I’m adventurous, honest, affectionate, kind, and intelligent. . . and a little silly. . . and a little nerdy.

I am a camera technician for commercial and tv productions. My work schedule is never the same from week to week, and I’m always in a new place. The variety of experience in my career is one of the best parts of it. I’ve been lucky to do a fair amount of traveling for work, and my schedule allows me to do a fair amount of traveling for fun, too. I’m looking for something who loves a spontaneous road trip, or plane trip. Someone to share grand trips and epic romances, as well as tiny trips and tiny romances.

I’m looking for someone genuine, honest, and intelligent. Someone enthusiastic and affectionate. Someone who is a geek about something: travel? food? knitting? Doctor Who? or maybe something I haven’t even heard of that makes you stupidly excited to talk about it.

Someone delightfully ridiculous.

Eventually, I’m looking for a companion. A partner and an equal in exploration, adventure, and life. And someone to share funnel cakes with because they’re tasty as all get out, but they’re huge.

I can parallel park.
I am a good cook.
I have been known to build things.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Building things.
Cooking things.
Planning vacations.
Analytical thinking.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My optimistic outlook. At least that's what people say. They must be used to meeting sad people.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
the friends and the family and the other people
owning camping gear
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
spaceships, driving routes, vacations, work, (re)decorating, friends, recess, astronomy, color science
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Although I like spending time outdoors, I’m pretty darn good at relaxing. If I have an evening, I’ll probably either be TV’ing, reading, video gaming, board gaming, or eating out/ eating in with friends. I’m not a big one for loud clubs. I prefer a dive or whiskey bar.

I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I own dice with more than six sides.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think I’ve done at least a mild to moderately good job at filling this thing out. Also, if you think we’d be a good match. Also, if you're a nerd. Also, if looking up at the stars and knowing that the atoms in your body where forged in stars and super novas billions of years ago is an uplifting thought to you.
Also, if you like legos.
