My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Zut alors! I'm Mike, the guy who enjoys theater, board and video games, reading, music, and lazily passing the time; ideally with good friends. Generally friendly, charming, and jovial with dashes of juvenile depending on the quality of the joke. I drive commercial trucks larger than your measly pickup and write plays in my rare spare time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Backing various projects on Kickstarter. Playing games with friends. Typing away on a play. Working 10+ hour shifts. Sleeping in way later than I mean to.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Ender's Game will always be my favorite book. I'm a major fan of most science fiction and fantasy novels - though I'm a sucker for a few other works of fiction. Anything by Heinlein, Hawthorne, McCaffrey, Allston, Stackpole, Steinbeck, Zahn, Hemingway, Pratchett, Gaiman, Card, or Vonnegut. You know, the middle school English curriculum.

Movies: Donnie Darko, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Equilibrium, Star Wars, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Fight Club. Anything but horror. Whatever's on Netflix. I've got a queue of fifteen movies I've been meaning to watch but never set aside the time for.

For TV, comedies and sci-fi all the way. Community, Archer, Futurama, Star Trek, Scrubs. Whatever's on Netflix.

Most music; even if I'm not fond of a specific genre there's usually at least one or two songs I don't mind. If I'm not driving, I'll listen to whatever's playing and won't change it - at least, not without asking. But I expect the same if you're in my car.

My family made excellent meals growing up; a few of which I've gotten a decent handle on cooking: chicken paprika, homemade spaghetti and meatballs, curry... I'm not an amazing cook by any stretch of the term, but I do alright by myself.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
New play ideas, what that song lyric really was, where my next delivery is to, why people are so bad at driving...
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
If there's something you want to tell someone but have no one else to tell it to; you have a terrible joke that shouldn't be funny but it is; you absolutely want to talk about video games or other related topics; you're reading this and you don't know why. If you want to discuss whether art can be separated from its artist. Bonus points if you like the arts, Rooster Teeth/Achievement Hunter, Reddit, and/or video games or boardgames.
