My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an outgoing guy, who is pretty laid back and down to earth. I enjoy hanging out with friends, reading, or watching really bad movies (I refuse to give up on a book or a movie, so I often get stuck enduring something less than enjoyable). I also love getting out to live arts as much as possible, be it music, theater or art shows. I enjoy being low-key, and don't need to hit the bars or the clubs to have a good time and can have just as much fun playing boardgames as I can hitting the dance floor. I try to be as active as I can - they gym isn't really my thing but run when I can, and play occasional sports.

I'm generally pretty happy, completely dorky and am always looking to have fun!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
By day, I'm an event co-ordinator for a conference planning company. By night, I'm a dodgeball player, a saxophone player and a referee for a hockey league for people with disabilities.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm told I'm a good listener, and I always try to look on bright side of life (cue Monty Python)! I'm also pretty good at maintaining a semblance of sanity, keeping a balance between goofy and serious, and I give awesome hugs!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My charming personality?

Joking aside, it might be my laugh (it's high and squeaky... hard not to notice or laugh with... or at) or maybe my obnoxiously positive attitute.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Food: All food is good food! Anything but cream sauce....

Shows: Bones, Parenthood, Slings & Arrows, Sherlock, The Newsroom, The West Wing, Suits, Elementary, Castle, Criminal Minds

Music: I will listen to absolutely anything! If you were to get into my car during the week, the radio would be tuned to an alternative station, but as soon as the weekend hits, the windows go down and the Country music goes up.

Books: Current favourites are "The Book of Negroes," "Motorcycles & Sweetgrass," "Lullabies for Little Criminals," "There's a Seal in My Sleeping Bag," "A Prayer for Owen Meany," "Last Night in Twisted River," "Cutting for Stone," "Gods Behaving Badly," "The Little Princes," "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time," "Lamb," and the list goes on...

Movies: "Mr. Holland's Opus," "My Life in Ruins," "Juno," "Little Miss Sunshine," "Garden State," "The Hundred Foot Journey," "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel," and the entire "Toy Story" series.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Friends
2. My Phone
3. Music
4. Food
5. Family
6. Books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Sadly, work and ways to improve processes and take my projects to the next level.

Whenever I go out with friends, talk inevitably turns to dodgeball strategy, but I also think of more "grown-up" things like goals, my future, all of the things I should be doing instead of procrastinating with a great book and a cup of tea...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not out with friends (which I try to make most Fridays), I'm camped out on the couch with a book and a cup of tea. Sometimes I'm working and there are some Friday's though where I live the glamorous lifestyle of laundry and other chores... but we don't really talk about those!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once got stuck upside down hanging on a chain-link fence by my snow pants.

Seriously though, there are very few things that I won't admit to.
