My self-summary
I love learning and trying new things. I've enjoyed wine tastings where I didn't particularly like any of the wines I tried just because I tried something new with good company.

I enjoy hiking, camping and being outdoors. I like seeing new places and that motivates me to travel. I hope to do some canoeing in the Everglades this year once the mosquitoes die off a little.

I'm interested in a little bit of everything from cooking to physics though I tend to be science oriented.
What I’m doing with my life
I just finished getting my MS in biology. Debating my options right now. Currently working at a vet clinic trying to decide if I'll stay in the field.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at cooking. I really like learning the science behind it and experimenting with technique.
The first things people usually notice about me
In the summertime? Massively curly hair. Humidity definitely takes its toll there.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I love science fiction and fantasy books. My favorite author is Terry Pratchett but I still enjoy classics like Harry Harrison, Douglas Adams and Robert Heinlein.

Movie & Shows: My favorites are always changing and I watch somewhat rarely but I did enjoy seeing Inception for the first time this summer. Similarly I don't watch tv much but Archer and Rick and Morty are current favorites.

Music: I'm mostly an alt-rock sort of girl but other than that it's all rather eclectic and whatever catches my ear from traditional klezmer to Heavy Metal.

Food: I like anything spicy and I'll try anything once.
The six things I could never do without
My dog, the internet, good food, sunshine, comedy, and a good freezer. You laugh but I lived in a rainforest for three months and missed having a good refrigeration so much.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Let's just say I didn't major in biology for no good reason.
On a typical Friday night I am
Reading a good book and/or planning a quick trip when I'm not trying to catch up on neglected chores.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a terrible singing voice so I don't usually do more than hum.
You should message me if
You want to go hiking, meet up for gelato, or just chat.
