My self-summary
"24/7 queer, active, forward, moving."

I am ridiculously sarcastic but people often take me seriously. I'm kinda deadpan in my humor sometimes. I make fun out of everything. I surround myself with people who will laugh with me about the ridiculousness of some people. I'm the person who, when I get out of the shower, I dry my hair really fast and then run around my apartment looking like a porcupine because my hair literally sticks out in every direction. I'm also the person who walks down the street listening to my ipod and dances like a nutter in public if I'm in a good mood. I love people who have a clever sense of humor and are witty and who try not to take life all too seriously all the time. I also really enjoy thinking about where the origins of phrases come from. For example, "rain check" - does that come from, well it's raining so maybe we have to do it another day? Or, is it the opposite, you know, save it for a rainy day? I sometimes think that I think too much. I recently adopted a Rottie/Pitbull/Catahoula mix named her Willow after Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and she's the best dog I've ever had. I love her to pieces. She snores while she sleeps, there's nothing cuter. I also have a cat named King Tut who is a handsome little devil and enjoys a game of fetch with lollipop sticks.

And, I have a huge soft spot for feminine women.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently? Just got my BA in Sociology with concentrations in Middle East studies and Sexuality and Gender studies, so I'm looking for work where ever I can find it..I'm actually planning to move to Philly in the fall. I've also been spending a lot of time thinking about how I can put together a muggle quiddich team but on horseback. Someone actually just proposed this idea to me and I was floored that I hadn't thought of it before and would literally give my right arm to start it up! It would be something along the lines of polo, but with a bigger ball as the quaffle and the snitch runner potentially wearing armor...haven't quite worked out what we would use for bludgers though...give it time though, I'll come up with something. If you have any suggestions or want to play let me know!! I'm actually really excited about this!
I’m really good at
Finding what I need for cheap, communicating - most of the time, gauging someone's character, back massages, and dancing like a nutter to really random music.
The first things people usually notice about me
"how do you get your hair to stay up without it being all crunchy?!"
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Harry Potter! English as a Second Language, Frenemies, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, The Persistent Desire, Undoing Gender, A Total Waste of Make-Up and Misery Loves Cabernet, and of course, Winnie the Pooh - ie comedy and theory

Movies: Bad Boy's 2 and The Birdcage - hands down. But I also love the Batman series, the Underworld series, Live Free Die Hard, Easy A, Rio (my cat IS Blue), and Taxi (with Queen Latiffa).

Shows: Grey's Anatomy (not even ashamed), How I Met Your Mother, Girls, New Girl, Bones, Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23, Modern Family, Will and Grace, Gilmore Girls

Music: quite literally everything with the exception of opera and heavy metal.

Food: chili and corn bread, but I will literally eat almost anything. And, cheese!! I seriously wish the moon were made of cheese like it was in Wallace and Grommet. And, I love Thai food - I work in a Thai restaurant.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee, my cat, my horse, my dog, my books, and cheese.

Things I could do without: a computer, a cell phone, a car, facebook. Honestly, if I could go back in time and live during the age where you drove a horse and buggy and could live in the middle of a valley where all you know is literally right in front of you, I would be happy as a clam.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Philosophy, theory, why people are the way they are, gender, race, class, any -ism, and then why the hell all of these things exist and have to be thought about. For the last 2 years, I've been analyzing gender performance and trying to figure out why people who perform in certain ways do certain things. It has kind of taken over my life. I also love a good, funny anecdote, and am always trying to remember where the heck I left my car keys.
On a typical Friday night I am
The same thing we do every night Pinky, trying to take over the world!! (If you don't get that reference, I fear our future is grim...if you see a big black dog, that's a sign for our relationship.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
....Vampire Diaries is my guilty pleasure. don't hate...

Also, the song "I'm Only Me When I'm With You" reminds me of my horse every time and I watch Alice in Wonderland every time I'm feeling sad.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like girls
  • Ages 20–25
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, activity partners, long-distance penpals
You should message me if
You think you're funny and can make me chuckle (and if you don't mind me using the word "chuckle" randomly), if you want to get to know me and not who you think I might be because of how I dress, if you like to play taboo, and if don't abbreviate words in a conversation. I just don't understand the point in them..it's no more than an extra syllable to say the whole word. It just seems silly.
