My self-summary
Problem daydreamer with a severe addiction to the Columbia River Gorge and the Palouse ...and not at all in rehab for it.

"Sophisticated yet unassuming, elegant yet accessible, a transcendent experience to be had everyday-authentic, evocative, and true to the moment."

That's not about me, that's written on the Boyd's Coffee napkin.

Evocative Coffee?

Presumptuous, yet overbearing.
What I’m doing with my life
Exploring, learning, teaching, playing music, making knives, making friends. So on and so forth. I play music, and it just so happens to be my favorite thing in the world. Mainly working on bass and guitar.
I am continuing school again. I may focus on Environmental Sciences, Anthropology, or Music.
It is my goal to find as many of the trails in the Columbia River Gorge as humanly possible.
I'm not sure that city life is for me. I am happy in the countryside, in the woods, on a farm, somewhere beautiful.
Someday I'll make a calender with a photo of every corner of Oregon. (I know Oregon is not a dodecagon, but the world has four corners and it's not a square... deceptive language, in my opinion).
Imnaha, Malheur, the Coast, Hood, Crater Lake, Painted Hills, Wallowa... I should probably work on getting a nice camera before setting out.
I’m really good at
Working with my hands, archery, welding, art, music, puns, accidentally swearing in front of children, faux pas in general.
The first things people usually notice about me
I look young. Oh, and if I had a dime for every time I've been called a wood elf, well, I'd be able to afford a hair cut. (Joking, I'd never cut my hair, don't touch it).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Natural Medicine books, Battle, Anthropology articles, Euripides' Bacchae, Tolkien, The Hidden Life of Wolves, Women in Celtic Mythology, Women Who Run with the Wolves. I like fables and old stories.

Pan's Labyrinth, Lord of the Rings, No Such Thing, Elvira movies.

Xena, RuPaul's Drag Race, Oregon Field Guide, Game of Thrones, Family Guy

Music- Everything from Blues to Bhangra. Music has so many links in my mind, much like scent. Opera/Classical- to the passion and intense love of music theory. Metal- to completely mastering an instrument and bringing it on full force like a Pagan prayer. Acoustic live- like being spun around in a dance with my fellow drunken bar patrons. It's not so much the genre as it is the moment in which I hear it.

Healthy food. Indian, Thai, Mexican, Italian, Borsch. I love cooking with friends.
The six things I could never do without
Playing music
The Columbia River Gorge/Palouse
My hands
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...the fact that someone out there drives a car named The Jesus Chrysler.

...why I suck at taking compliments. A friend of mine has developed a great solution, the compliment sandwich that went like this, "You smell bad, your eyes are the color of the Aurora Borealis, you're a jackass." am I going to afford that fancy electric bass guitar?
On a typical Friday night I am
I can describe an ideal, as I have no Friday night ritual. It might involve music on the porch, bonfires, getting ready for an event, playing a gig, the beginning of a road trip, being in the wild and far out of cellular range, good movies, good books, good (strong) drinks, good food, better company.
That's an ideal for most nights.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I wish my life were more like an episode of Xena.
