My self-summary
First off I'm looking for friends just as much as anything else.

My name is Jessica. I am a contra dancer, folk musician, art lover, science nerd, bibliophile, nature lover, tea drinker, and theatre geek.

I am looking for someone who will go on long walks with me or just enjoy a nice long drive in the fall. Who will come with me to contra dances and folk/Irish jam sessions. Who loves books as much as I do and would stay up chatting about what we have recently read. Someone who loves farmer's market's and folk fests as much as I do. I also want to be with someone who will enjoy hanging out at coffee shops with me whether for jam sessions or just to hear a band play or poetry be read.

I'm a Theistic Evolutionist/agnostic. I do, however, believe that everyone has the right to believe (or not believe) whatever they want. I believe in science and evolution, just that some higher power had a hand in it.

I have a son who is almost three. He will be with me every summer. I am open to the idea of having more kids and have no problem being with someone who has kids of their own.

I am a vegan and serious about it, but I don't preach and try to turn everyone else vegan. I think everyone can decided for themselves. I don't care if people eat meat around me. I won't cook it however. I love Thai food, but can find something to eat just about anywhere. I find cooking or baking together to be a romantic activity. I do not drink. I am a big fan of sitting around with hot tea, folk or classical music playing, and reading a good book, and this doesn't have to be at home.

I greatly enjoy movies. Whether it's at the movie theatre or curled up with someone and a warm blanket on the couch at home, a good movie is always nice. I like everything from romance, horror, comedy, and documentaries. New and old.

I've done a ton of work in the past with the theatre. If I'm not out contra dancing, hanging at the library or a coffee shop, or playing music somewhere, I can pretty much always be found at the theatre. I don't act as much as I use to, but I'm one heck of an amazing techie and stage manager.

I love body modification in all it's many forms. I have a number of tattoos including a back piece and a large upper arm piece. The back tattoo is a kid's drawing with a Dr. Seuss quote and my arm tattoo is a memorial to my mother. (Check out my photos) I have a few smaller ones too. I have a small nose ring and a number of holes in my ears.

I guess that's about it for now. Any questions, please ask.
