I am mischievous, quick-witted, and down-to-earth.
My Self-Summary
I'm not Orlando Bloom, and I can't promise flowers every day, but I
HAVE seen flowers bloom in Orlando.
Yes, it's corny, but what can I say? I've lived in Connecticut for
my entire life, and we're staying here for a while. We're saving
money for trips and fun stuff, and eventually buying a house/land
somewhere.
I do have a wife, one I love very much. We're both looking for new
friends, or even people we can hang out with sometimes. We've
talked a lot, and we'd both like another sweet lady to join us,
either temporarily or permanently. My wife is on here too as
lovesbunnies, so
feel free to take a look at her profile, and say hi if you're
interested!
Right now, I'm working in finance in Avon, CT, saving money for
both the move and for treating my lady (and eventually, the ladies
in my life) well.
I love
off-color jokes, watching
anime (
One Piece and
Samurai Pizza
Cats, for example), and reading everything I can get my hands
on, and finding
good music to listen to, especially
older bands like
The Beatles and
The Who, to name a few. I try to
keep my friends in good spirits, and can be relied upon to lighten
the mood whenever I can. If I'm bored, I'm always up for spending
some time in a coffeehouse, cafe, or browsing Barnes and Noble with
a coffee in hand.
Feel free to message me if I've piqued your curiosity. Even if we
can't hit it off, I'd still like to meet new friends!
What I’m doing with my life
Right now, I'm working in Avon for Connecticut Online Computer
Center--COCC. I'm there to do a job, and dammit if I don't do it
well.
I'd like to go back to school and get a teaching degree. Not just
because I'm lazy, and would like a three month vacation, but
because I actually like teaching. Physics is where it's at, y'all.
I’m really good at
Cheering people up. But usually, only if I like you. I wouldn't put
anyone down, no matter what (I had enough of that when I was
younger), but if I like you, I always want to see you smile.
Everyone's prettier with a smile on their face. :)
I'm also really good at being lazy, and wasting time, but those
aren't anything special, since anyone can do them.
The first things people usually notice about me
My face (duh) and smile? I tend to think people notice my glasses
first, but I don't often go up to strangers and ask "Hey, what's
the first thing you notice about me?", because then the answer
would be "How rude you are."
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love reading, so for brevity's sake, I'll list my absolute
favorites:
Dune,
One Piece
(manga),
Fairy
Tail (manga),
Lord of the Rings,
Snow Crash (and anything
else by Mr. Stephenson), and
The Wheel of Time. There're
many, many more, but like I said, brevity.
I'm not too big into movies. Most of Hollywood today is crap. But
for TV shows, I'm a big fan of
House, MD,
Scrubs, and
Survivorman. No, not Survivor;
Survivorman.
I was big into
JPop
and
JRock for a
while, but I've branched out as I've matured.
Queen is my favorite band of all
time, but I also like
The Beatles,
The Who,
David Bowie, and occasional songs
from a bunch of other bands. I'll try anything once.
I'm a big fan of eating. My girlfriend makes the best teriyaki
chicken, but I'll eat almost anything. I just tried Thai cuisine
for the first time, and I apparently like spicy foods. Who knew?
The six things I could never do without
(The four things I could never do without. Six is too damn
many.)
- My iAudio. If I can't listen to music, I get annoyed more
easily.
- A book in my pocket. When I get bored, I read. I get bored a lot.
I read a lot.
- My DS and games. I'm a gamer, too. Advance Wars ftw!
- My boots. I need new ones, but I wear my boots every day. They do
squeak on tile floors, though. :(
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Probably what other people think about, just from another angle.
Yes, I think about money... as a tool for what I want. Yes, I think
about life... as an adventure waiting to happen. Yes, I think about
love... as something that should be given more freely than it
is.
I also think about sleep, but that's only because I'm tired right
now.
On a typical Friday night I am
In work. I work second shift. :(
(That just means that my girlfriend would want someone else to stay
home with her until I get there. ;)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I think Weird Al Yankovich is amazing.
You should message me if
You'd like to meet up for a cup of coffee, or to swap books, or if
you're interested in meeting both myself and my lady, to get to
know us both better. I'd like to make new friends, and I'd hope
that maybe one of those friends would want to move forward with a
relationship. But if not, that's OK, too.
