My self-summary Propose an edit

I am interested in expanding my group of friends, and looking for interesting people to hang out with, date, or whatever. Local would be great, but heck, I like road trips and I live in a great area, so longer distances could be workable. You should know that I pracice ethical non-monogamy, and have a long term partner.

I am a smart, witty woman, with a naughty streak. I love language and words (and am not afraid to use them!).

I have eclectic tastes in movies and music. I love the Indigo Girls. If I can sing along to it, I am a happy camper. I went to Burning Man for the second time last year, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I love the idea of travel, but am afraid to fly. Eddie Izzard totally cracks me up.

I love art, music, reading, and writing. I also love computers, video games, the internet, shooting pool, beer, serious conversation and being totally silly. I have been working on expanding my bar tending abilities. I make a decent martini (though I've never served one to an aficionado), a good cosmo, and an excellent (and potent) margarita. I've also been experimenting with infusing booze. Strawberry tequila=huge success. Vanilla rum, not so much. Have a favorite cocktail or infusion idea? Shoot me a recipe!

I snort when I laugh. I am opinionated and idealistic, but am open to hearing other points of view. I co-host a chapter of Drinking Liberally for the SLO area (check out drinkingliberally.org). I am working on becoming better-informed about the world around me. My favorite place on the central coast is Montana de Oro; a close second is The Cliffs in Shell Beach for happy hour. The view cannot be beat! I enjoy quick trips up and down the coast, just because. I love Monterey and Big Sur.

I LOVE to sing, and karaoke is my current outlet for that. I can oft be found at the Merrymaker in Los Osos, which is my favorite place to sing. I think I have sung karaoke at about every bar that offers it between Santa Maria and SLO.

I love to try new things, new restaurants, new food, new drinks, new activities. Let me know if there's something I'm missing out on!

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I am looking for ways to explore my creativity; from writing to photography (I dabble in both). I am still waiting to find out what I want to be when I grow up. I work in a regular type job to keep a roof over my head and to fund all of the stuff listed above.

Typical Friday night? Maybe checking out some art, or I could be on a hot date, which may or may not include any or all of the following: movies, dinner, karaoke, video games, star gazing, dancing...especially the karaoke.
