My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello, hello, come one, come all! My name is...something you'll probably have to ask me to find out. Sorry about what's probably over cautiousness on my part, but- actually I'm not that sorry, there's no harm in being careful. And I promise that I don't actually use ellipses nearly as often as it's beginning to appear. Honest... :P
I am someone who is (like so many other people) not too fantastic at filling these things out, because I do think the question "who are you" is almost impossible to answer adequately and 100% accurately. However unlike many people, I am going to give this my best shot.
Well, here I am. I like to think that I'm a nice girl who can be a lttle shy initally, but who does genuinely like getting to know people. I can seem quiet, but once I'm in the right mood I can and will talk your ear off. I can't stand cold tomatoes, and spiders make me kind of crazy. I can come off as rather serious, and while I do take certain things seriously I've been told I'm also very open-minded, and difficult to shock/ offend.

I do hope that made as much sense as it did in my head.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
They don't lead with the easy questions, eh? In terms of bigger-picture things, I am currently going to university, and consequently figure out what the heck I want to with the rest of my life. As for what I'm doing right now...procrastination, you're my best friend :P
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Remembering song lyrics! Someday, I'm sure, that will come in handy! Otherwise I've been told that I'm really good at editing essays, which is...interesting. On the other hand, I really really love the piano, have been playing it probably something like 14 years, and am honestly not that great at it. Ah, well, it's the passion that counts. Right?

I've also recently discovered that I seem to be really good at making vanilla-peanut butter milkshakes and certain kinds of sandwiches. My tongue thanks me, but my waistline does not, alas :P
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really don't know. I think the first impression most people get of me is that I'm very serious/ stern/ no nonsense. That's not true at all, and people tend to grasp that after about the fifth dirty joke comes out of my mouth.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
If I started listing favourite books I'd be typing for days. I read like I breathe, and luckily I've enjoyed the vast majority of what I've read so far. My taste in books is kind of weird, in that most of what I read is either teen ficition or"literature" e.g. Dickens, Fitzgerald, etc. Neil Gaiman alternately intrigues and terrifies me. My project for the summer is to finally finish Les Miserables, which is really probably not going to happen, but hey, I live in hope.

P.S. Fight Club and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are both THE BOMB, and high fives for you if you are also a fan of either of those works :P

And now I'm realizing that this section's going to be massive, my sincere sympathy to anyone slogging through it. For movies, some favourites would be Inception, The Avengers, Sherlock Holmes (2009), Saving Private Ryan, and The Little Mermaid. Generally speaking I enjoy what I like to call "thinking movies", but I can also get caught up in a good action flick. The only thing I'm not especially big on would be "chick flicks" (I have to be in a really specific mood for them) and horror (because I am a wuss).

Shows are somewhat easier, thank goodness. Currently I'm only following three: Supernatural, The Big Bang Theory and Glee (it's a guilty pleasure. Really). But I am also into Merlin, Sherlock, Star Trek (TOS!), Torchwood, and a bunch of others I am currently failing to remember, I'm just too lazy to catch up on them.

I also have to devote a mini-paragraph to Band of Brothers, which I watched all the way through for the first time this summer, and which currently owns my soul. It's possibly one of the most captivating television series (well, miniseries) that I have ever seen, and it's abundance of handsome redheaded men does not exactly hurt. This another one of my 'if you're a fan, COME TALK TO ME' works.

I can like almost any type of music, I think it depends more on the song itself than on the particular genre or even the artist. That said I generally don't go for country, and hit stations make me a little crazy in the bad way. In terms of instrumental stuff, Hans Zimmer, Tchaikovsky, and Beethoven all make me dance with joy and awesomeness.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Books- that should be no surprise
2) A notebook for sudden writing inspiration
3) A sharpened pencil
4) And a damn good eraser
5) Socks. My feet get cold really easily
6)My mp3, probably
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where all my socks have gone...I suspect that my room ate them.

Everything, really. Is it possible to think too much?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably trying to get some homework done (and probably failing), mooning about listening to music, reading (of course), or harassing one of my friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I really like men in suits. Really, a lot. And come to think of it, women in suits aren't so bad either. Honesty, I just really like suits.

You understand the difference between "your" and "you're", because mis-using them constantly is one of my pet peeves. And also if you're interested in having me ramble at you some more, there will be no shortage of that here.
