My self-summary
I try to keep busy and living in London means that is easy. I go indoor climbing when I have the time, though that hasn't been as much I'd like of late. One of my ideas of a good time is to go to public lectures at the London School of Economics (thankfully, most of the talks aren't actually on Economics, otherwise I might shoot myself. Or just not go to them anymore). I drink with friends. I like to read and I don't think I read enough books. I'm more than a bit of a hedonist, so a good debauched night out (or in) is always welcome.

At the start of the year I decided that I'd had enough of working in an office, so I left the 9-5 job and now mostly work in a wine bar, with the odd bit of other work if and when it arrises. While I'm much happier now, it does mean that I work a lot of evenings, which has been curtailing my social life somewhat over the past several months.

I’m very liberal minded about most things, but especially relationships. I try to avoid preconceptions and pre-defined roles regarding them and often try to define what the word means to me. I am a strong believer in each person in a relationship (whatever its configuration) maintaining a sense of independence. I believe time with a partner should be an addition to your happiness, not an expectation which your happiness is reliant upon.

I identify as being polyamorous and am fortunate enough to have some wonderful people in my life right now.

I like most alternative styles and scenes and love a good rock or metal bar. I think the Steampunk movement and style is very cool, but seeing someone walk down the street dolled up in 1940-50's style makes me happy as well. Although I have to admit that I balk at investing the time and money necessary to cultivate such a wardrobe and personal style myself.
I also go to the occasional fetish club and I enjoy them very much and would like to do a lot more of this.

I have used 'I' as a pronoun far too many times in the past few sentences to be healthy for anyone.

I am a daydreaming, curious, and eclectic individual
What I’m doing with my life
As much as I can, yet in a very disorganised way.
I’m really good at
*Sleeping, but for something for which I have such a talent, I don't do it nearly enough.
*Forgetting things - unfortunately I have a truly terrible memory.
*Double booking myself for social occasions, but I'm working on that one - I now have a diary.
*Talking crap with friends in the pub.
*While I have yet to have the opportunity to test this opinion, I think I would be really good at surviving the inevitable and upcoming zombie apocalypse
The first things people usually notice about me
I've had a mohican hair cut for a while now, so I'm going to assume that. Other than that, well if ever we meet you can tell me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have to admit that I find this kind of question both difficult and tedious, since it changes with my mood. But I'll have a quick go:

Books (non-fiction): I enjoy reading about sustainability, peak oil, issues with food prodution/waste. (fiction): mostly whatever I can get my hands on and takes my mood. But favourites are: Terry Pratchet, Oscar Wilde, The Watch series by Sergey Lukyanenko, I read a lot of fantasy while growing up and I think my favourites were George R.R. Martin (The book Fever Dream was especially good) and Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman. Recently I've been on a real Michael Moorcock kick.

Movies: I'll watch pretty much anything to be honest, but I have a special weakness for B Grade horror and Sci-Fi.

Music: This has to be the hardest - I'm not going to bore you by listing bands, so I'll try to give more of an overview - I'm a bit of a metal head, but also love slightly quirkier music such as Rasputina and Dresdon Dolls (and Amanda Palmer's solo stuff of course).

Food: ahhhh all of it, but I especially love Thai food.
The six things I could never do without
My ability to read
My friends
Sex
Google Calendar. Seriously, I live my life by it. If it isn't in the calendar it doesn't exist for me.
My climbing shoes
My computer
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How I could be better spending my time, why people think and behave the way they do,
On a typical Friday night I am
More than likely in the pub, beer or whisky in hand, chatting with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm trying to teach myself how to make latex clothing. Given my total lack of knowledge about clothing making in general and my usual lack of time, it is a long and slow process.
