Eddie here. I like to fill my days with absurd conversations, lame/inappropriate jokes, and science. I'm not sure where I fall on the average [insert guy] graph. My interests vary widely and are never necessarily set in stone. This often leads my friends to surmise that I have weird taste in things; it's all right though, there's nothing wrong with being weird.

Humor is also a big part of my life. I like to laugh, and I enjoy watching others laugh. I also see it as an effective lens for the world (most of the time) because it can help reveal absurdities and nonsense in everyday life.

I am a hedonist in many respects. I like to enjoy life to the fullest and I'm looking for somebody with whom I can enjoy new things. I like to overindulge and extravagance always gets my attention.

I like rainy days, but cloudy days are my favorite. There's nothing like waking to a warm cup of coffee, and leisurely walking to class on a perfectly overcast day. Naturally, I like comfortable, dimly lit spaces; I feel like connecting with others is made even more pleasant when the surroundings are softer and calmer.

I really like spicy food. Some people think that spicy food is devoid of flavor, but if you manage to handle it, you'll find yourself rewarded with an exciting mix of old flavors brought to life in new ways. I really like spicy food.

I'm a third year chemical engineering student at UCI. I spend most of my time in the lab or studying. I also like to sit in and watch some movies or play video games.

Extracting deliciously inappropriate humor from most situations, also, seeing the bright side of things.

Procrastinating- The time I had on this site by the time I finally fleshed out this profile is greater than the time I've been at my current address.

Thinking (way) outside the box.

1. My sometimes brash honesty and sense of humor. I can be very uncouth in public, and I think people watching while making terrible remarks (to ourselves, of course) is a perfectly romantic activity.

2. My facial expressions. I am very facially animated when I talk; my eyes dart to and fro, and my ears wiggle a little when I laugh. This is cuter, I've been told, than the description would lead you to believe. I promise.

3. My love for dark colors. To the untrained eye, my wardrobe is monochromatic (oligo- at best). Much in the same way white brings out the brightness and harmony of colors, black carefully disguises colors and quietly accentuates their subtlety. Okay fine, I couldn't put two colors together without creating a disaster if I was paid for it. Ain't nobody got time for that.

4. My friendliness. Despite what #1 would led you to believe, I'm actually a really nice guy.

5. My awkwardness. It's not crippling by any means, and I'm not rude or uncultured, but I can be really forward sometimes and it's not always appreciated. Whoops.

TV: Six feet under, Dexter, Breaking bad, True Blood, Arrested Development, Firefly, Buffy & Angel, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and South Park, to name few.

Movies: Some of my favorites are: Pulp Fiction, American Beauty, Serenity, Mean Girls ( I know), Zack and Miri Make a Porno.

Books: Kurt Vonnegut's Works, Waiting for Godot, Brave New World, 1984, and Harry Potter. I'd like to read more contemporary stuff, any suggestions?

Music: This is the area where I have the hardest time giving a sample, but I like most contemporary and indie rock, Jazz has always been one of my staples, and I have developed a strong affinity for folk. I also like metal, punk, and older rock. Really, these are just things I've listened to that I like; it's not by any means exhaustive. I'm always open to new things.

Video Games: I find myself mostly playing RPGs of all kinds: Shin Megami Tensei, Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Dark Souls, Diablo, and so on. Lately, I've upgraded my graphics card on my computer, and FPS games will no longer be a nightmare to play. The Bioshock series was a great start.

Carbon, oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, phosphorus. When I came up with this, it sounded way more charming, but I'm sticking to my guns.

I've never cried at a movie, tv show, or song, but I've come very close several times.
