Books: "The Happiness Hypothesis," "Present Moment Awareness,"
"Freakonomics," "A Whole New Mind," "The Science of God." I
gravitate towards books that either help me to understand my own
mind or challenge conventional wisdom about the world.
Movies/TV: Lots -- I like comedy, mostly the absurd stuff like "The
Office," "Family Guy," "Monty Python," Marx Bros. flicks, etc. I
like old classics (Cary Grant,etc.). I'm also a horror buff.
Theater: I don't get to plays very often, but I prefer small stage
-- stories that are centered on real life situations.
Music: A little bit of everything. It's the individual song that
gets me -- has to be something with passion (in the music or in the
words). Genres I probably listen most to are Big Band, Classic
Rock, and Adult Alternative.
Food: I'm definitely an omnivore. I enjoy a wide variety of
cuisines and love to try out restaurants I've haven't visited yet.
I love shrimp, dark chocolate (especially with peanut butter),
pasta, broccoli, onions, berries of all kinds -- not all together
of course. I like to cook but don't that often. I do make a mean
bowl of popcorn.
