I am intelligent, affectionate, and neverending.
My Self-Summary
There are so many things to say about me... I haven't even finished
discovering myself. I am now at a point in my life when I am
radiant with happiness, I am satisfied,
learning everyday. Now everything seems
possible, because now I understand. I can value myself, respect
myself, love myself and so now I am ready to value others, respect
others and love others.
There's someone out there who is meant to meet me. Well, I am here
now:
happy,
learning, teaching, being aware of my own nature, being helped on
the way, helping others,
bursting with love and joy.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I am working on two different goals: pursuing a
satisfying career and gaining
awareness of myself.
I have been offered (and accepted) my dreamt job: teaching at the
university level.
On the other hand I achieved tranquility, happiness,
confidence... these
emotions I thought I would never feel. Now I want to learn more,
know myself more, develop an acute perception of my own and of
reality.
I’m really good at
Making people
laugh.
My friends and relatives know I can make them laugh a lot, cheer
them up when they need it, some told me I should try a career as a
comedian.
I am a very supportive friend, I am available when my friends need
me but I don't just stay there while they're in pain, I try to give
them a glimpse of the whole picture so that they can go through
their suffering knowing there IS a way out.
I'm a good teacher, I help my students improve and I pass them on
all my knowledge. From time to time the seeds I plant in their
minds flourish as new interests or passions.
Finally, I am really good at cooking. Spanish traditionnal dishes,
some French specialties too... I can promise, it's delicious!
The first things people usually notice about me
My sense of humour. Even if I can be seating some place, with a
serious look, spacing out... I am generally a smiling person. I can
think of many ways to tell a story (real things that happen to me)
in a comical way. When I go through something sad of stressful I
try to wait, calm down and then see (or tell) the funny part of it.
My phone conversations with friends and relatives are full of
laughters. Obviously, there's lots of laughters in my "live"
conversations too.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
It's funny how, even if I teach Spanish literature, my favourite
literature is probably the British. I love Wuthering Heights by
Emily Brontë, Dracula by Bram Stoker and last but not least my
adored The Lord of the Rings (I'm a huge fan) by Tolkien. In
Spanish I love Borges' short stories, Isabel Allende's books and
the great Arturo Perez-Reverte (he's fantastic!). I also enjoy some
poetry: Miguel Hernandez and Gustavo Adolfo Becker are my favourite
poets. I like French classics too, particularly Stendhal and plays
by Racine. I wish I knew more about the American literature.
Concerning movies, I like all genres except horror movies. I tend
to prefer those movies which are filled with emotions (not
necessarily love stories). I like Argentinian cinema (El hijo de la
novia), Spanish movies (Todo sobre mi madre, Abre los ojos...),
comedies (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, How to loose a guy in ten
days...), French movies (Amelie), Clint Eastwood's movies (Mystic
River), Ridley Scott's movies (Black Hawk Down...).
I have to say I am a huge
TV shows fan. I love and watch
regularly: Heroes, Prison Break, House, Fringe, Bones, Grey's
Anatomy, Life, CSI, Wihout a trace, Life on Mars, Supernatural. And
I intend to discover new and amazing shows like maybe Lie to
me.
In music I like almost everything. I prefer rock, pop, soul. I also
enjoy movie soundtracks. Lately I have been enjoying Dido's last
album, and Jason Mraz.
Food, everything, except spicy food. I am a very good cook and I
like to discover new things and challenge myself. I cannot eat
spicy food but I can try the same recipes if they're cooked really
mild. My favourite is Spanish food, Italian, some French and Greek
recipes. Here in the US I love Thanksgiving recipes!
The six things I could never do without
I could never do without books, friends, internet, music, food and
meditation.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I spend a lot of time thinking about learning more, being more in
touch with myself, making the choices that would honor myself and
those around me. I think about enjoying every single moment of my
life, discovering the small and simple joys and opportunities that
I find in my life. I think about being grateful to others for the
positive influence they have on me.
On a typical Friday night I am
In my pajamas watching a movie!
Well I started this "movie club" in which I have my friends gather
at my place, cook something altogether and watch a good movie so
that we can talk about it later.
When I'll find this special person I will agree on making him join
the team or take turns: one Friday friends, the next Friday with
him.
I also enjoy going out for dinner and have
long conversations.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I admit the same here and in my everyday life.
The most private thing to admit is: I am ready!
You should message me if
You feel you choose your path. If you think you are responsible for
your own happiness, if you think you can deal with you bad moments
too, if you do not need me to be happy, then, message me.
If you know you are ready, message me.
I am finding someone who is happy, satisfied, calm and aware. I
would love to share interests (literature, movies, cooking...),
activities, dreams, projects, thoughts...
I find someone who is up to the same standards as me.
