My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi! I'm Eden. I'm a twenty year old college kid from Colorado, now studying English and Law and Mandarin at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

I'm culturally Jewish but not really too big on the whole religion thing in general. I guess it just doesn't really factor into my life. No biggie if you like that stuff though.

I'm in love with books and reading. Right now next to me on my desk is some Roth, Zadie Smith, Hesse, etc, etc. Books are the best.

Going to concerts is one of my favorite activities. I love the sweaty crowd, pounding music, the moshing. Not too big into clubs, though.

I like people with great senses of humor, and also people with strong opinions! So please, show me who you are.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I want to be a writer, which is sort of driving the direction I'm going. I wrote a book when I was sixteen, and we'll see how this continues. I work on poetry, screenplays, short stores, all of that junk.

If the writing thing doesn't pan out, I'm also planning on going to law school to hopefully work in the area of civil rights law. I have a huge interest in law and legal services and using those things in order to help people.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm really good at skiing, coming from a family with a strong athletic background and a genetic love of cold weather. I worked as a ski patroller for a number of years, and raced for a while as well. I also really love to run, and often get lost in my head on long runs listening to my iPod. I'm also really good at telling dumb jokes and laughing my ass off at stupider jokes. Cooking is something I also consider a passion, and I spend long hours in the kitchen making awesome vegetarian recipes.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People usually comment right off the bat on my name, and over and over again I have to explain that yes, I was raised by hippies. Secondly, they notice my deep ingrained sense of fashion (flannel forever!) and my sometimes, if I'm lucky, my smile.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Oh god, don't get me started on books. My favorite writer is David Foster Wallace, and I am currently in the middle of my third and arduous rereading of Infinite Jest.

I have tons and tons of favorite movies, being a bit of a film geek, but here are a few of them: Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski, 127 Hours, High Fidelity, and (500) Days of Summer.

I don't watch much TV in general, but I do love me some Office (American version) and Arrested Development. However, I am looking for a new good show, so recommend me anything!

As far as food goes, I am a vegetarian, so there goes a whole subsection. But I definitely have a soft spot for Italian and Vietnamese cuisine.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
-My iPod. That thing has all the songs that I love on it, and I'd go crazy without it.
-A pen. Who knows when you'll need it?
-Coffee. I get the world's worst headaches if I don't have my morning drug.
-A haircut.
-My Boloco gift card. Need me some good burritos.
-My phone, so I can talk to all of your beautiful faces.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Maybe at a party, maybe sitting at home watching a Korean action movie and eating dip with a spoon. Depends on the mood, depends on the week!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I have a deep and ingrained love for anything Beach Boys related.

I also love really bad hip hop (looking at you, Kanye!) and I have no idea why.
