My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
OKCupid just resurrected this profile. They booted me off (under this one) years ago. So this information isn't current. Check me out under EVDenimGlitter....

Let's try something new, shall we?

After an embarrassingly long time on this site, I've scaled back my expectations considerably. Friendship is, in itself, a pretty tall order. To that end:

I've had an interesting life thus far and wouldn't change a thing. I love to dress up in costumes; Halloween, Mardi Gras, SantaCon, Mermaid Parade and Burning Man are my high holy days! I can still hit the dance floor and party all night, but also enjoy staying home, ordering in, watching a movie. I'm quick and clever and funny and smart. I love puzzles (crosswords, Scrabble, sudoku, speed mahjongg, etc.) and would clean up on Wheel of Fortune if I ever got myself to an audition.

If you're truly interested -- in friendship or whatever else -- and you'd like to meet up for a beer without spending too much time emailing back and forth, feel free to email me.

[Wow, this newly renovated profile sounds a little dull, which I assure you, I'm not. But the old profile wasn't doing me much good, so....]
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Enjoying the living shit out of it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being a friend, making people laugh, writing, talking and listening, multitasking, making stuff (except food...I hate to cook), cleaning (when I actually do it), planning events, driving on road trips, shopping for just the right...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Who knows? But people DO seem to notice me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm tempted to delete all this and replace it with "Isn't the kind of stuff you find out about someone when you actually meet?" But I realize some folks do searches based on whether or not you've listed certain books, movies or music, so....

Confederacy of Dunces, Geek Love, The Hobbit, used to love Stephen King... The Kite Runner, The Secret Life of Bees, The Art of Racing in the Rain, Gould's Book of Fish, Three Cups of Tea, The Life of Pi... My mom reads a lot of novels and gives all the good stuff to my sister and I and I can't always remember the titles, even if I really enjoyed them....

It's a Wonderful Life, Clockwork Orange, Taxi Driver, To Kill a Mockingbird, Miracle on 34th Street, Breakfast at Tiffany's... When it comes to the classiscs I'm a schizophrenic!

Old punk rock, bad 80s pop, 70s shmaltz, 60s hippie stuff, pretty much anything except rap, hip-hop and jazz.

Mexican food is my favorite but I love corn dogs, mac & cheese, ice cream, popcorn, potato salad, ANY salad, summer food, picnic food, party food, junk food, carnival food, comfort food... I'm pretty easy to please food-wise... White trashy, to be honest. And I've about had it with people who say they like a good glass of wine. I hate wine. I drink beer. Cheap, pissy, watery American beer. Deal with it. Yes so many men, practically ALL men, suggest we meet for a glass of wine. I'm pretty sure no one really reads all this...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I don't know... Beer? FUN! PEOPLE! Seltzer.... I've done without a lot of the things I love for weeks at a time and survived, so I suppose I could do without almost anything. Affection, in the end, would become a necessity, so if that volleyball doesn't kiss back, I'm a goner.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what the hell comes next!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either out drinking or dressing up for a theme/costume party or meeting friends for dinner or watching bad TV or making something or hanging out with my family or taking a crazy trip somewhere or lookin' for trouble! As EVERYONE on here who's the least bit interesting says, there's no such thing as "typical."
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Heh, I don't have much that's private. I've led (and continue to lead) an exciting and adventurous life. I ain't stoppin' now. But YOU can be a part of the adventures! Climb aboard! Heh... er, wait... ; )

you've actually read this far. And think we'd have fun having beers.
