My story begins, just like Dickens’ “David Copperfield”…Chapter 1: I am Born…and then it takes off in a completely different direction.
I left the gray winters of Northeastern Ohio for the sunny skies of LA in 1995. I experimented with the other coast in 2001, when I moved to New York City, but after three great years there, I decided that as much as I appreciate fluctuations in the weather, 70s and sunny every day is hard to beat. I do love my life in LA, but I miss a colorful autumn, an occasional thunder storm and a traffic free expressway.
I have a thirst for adventure, but I'm not an adrenaline junkie. You won't find me jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, base jumping off a cliff, or weaving through traffic on a speeding motorcycle. However, I have braved 50 degree waters in a shark cage hoping for a face to face meeting with a great white shark, I did a solo climb to the top of a mountain in Transylvania to see one of Dracula's castles, hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon by the light of a full moon, and danced with a lederhosen-clad giant in the Vienna Woods (truth be told, he was a very friendly giant).
I love getting out and seeing the world. I traveled to Berlin, and Munich last October, and plan to visit Cannes in the Spring. A few years ago I completed a month-long, solo journey through Eastern Europe (Prague, Vienna, Budapest & Transylvania).
