I am over-the-counter, productive, and culture.

My Self-Summary

Hello, it's me. Originally from Lancaster, now living close to the Harrisburg area and I love where I live. My life is mostly consumed by music: composing and admiring it. I've been writing music for about seven years now and I plan to travel the country over the springtime to play it. I'm really excited for it! I also run a venue out of my house and meet all kinds of new people. Another venture I've been doing is what I'm calling a "sonical journal", composing a song everyday.

What I’m doing with my life

Typing "What I'm doing with my life" into "My self-summary".

I’m really good at

Having a knowledge base of completely irrelevant facts. Apparently, I'm a whizz-kid at computers. Dancing to music that's considered undanceable (or barely considered music for that matter). Quoting artistic integrity that isn't my own. Pretending to be coy, even though I'm really not.

The first things people usually notice about me

Whatever you noticed. I would have to guess my hair being an amber/red colour is probably one of the first. I do have some snazzy sneakers too.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

You'll never read this but I'll tell you anyway!

Books would have to be anything by J.D. Salinger, Martian Chronicles, Chocolate War, Childhood's End

Movies: way too many but some are Inland Empire, Mulholland Drive, Stalker, Kids, Ken Park, Julien Donkey Boy, Pi, High Fidelity, Jacob's Ladder, Annie Hall, Science of Sleep, Mallrats, The Graduate, Blade Runner, Charly

Music: Joan of Arc, Merzbow, Olivia Tremor Control, Wolf Parade, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, City of Caterpillar, Arpanet, Pg. 99, Headphones, The New Flesh, Melt Banana, Hassan I Sabbah, Racebannon, Cocorosie, Please Inform The Captain This Is A Hijack, Modest Mouse, Combatwoundedveteran, Jeromes Dream, Do Make Say Think, Acheronian, Sunrise.Sunset, Neutral Milk Hotel, Major Organ and His Adding Machine, Lightning Bolt, Landed, and so much more. I also have this huge soft spot for the 90's. Ask me for my Last.fm!

Food would be just about anything spicy I suppose. Chinese takeout is always great.

Other favourites would have to include: Mystery Science Theatre 3000, Rifftrax, The Film Crew (basically anything Mike Nelson related). I enjoy video games, almost too much, but I haven't had much time to play them lately, my top-5 all-time greatest: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, Half-Life 2, System Shock 2, Deus Ex, and Daikatana(yes I'm serious).

The six things I could never do without

Music, Vinyls, Amateur Radio, Vintage Electronics, Light, Life.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Personal Reflection. Owning all the Cinematronics Vector Arcade Cabinets and the GCE Vectrex console (vintage 80's vector hardware ftw!). The 34:43 to 37:30 window of Merzbow's Rainbow Electronics. Wishing I was at Woodstock '99. A little reverb and a paragraphic equalizer go a long way.

On a typical Friday night I am

Shows, bowling, skee-ball, aimless drives with friends, playing some uno, parties, and running shows at my house.

If all else fails sulk in the angst(!) and play some N64.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I love to dance but I have no moves. I also refuse to own a cell phone. Land lines forever.

You should message me if

You love dub, want to chat, looking for friendship that evolves, can type in complete sentences, know the difference between then/than/there/their/your/you're, enjoy "artsy" films and music. You think the 90's was better than the 80's. You think the 20's-40's was an era you should have lived in.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone who is at the very least in touch with their artistic side. I'm a sucker for abstract minds.

You like dates that consist of driving and enjoying some music, coffee shops, drive-in movies, going to the bowling alley (even though I'm horrible at it), arcades are nice if you're into that too. I can have fun basically sitting in a car and cruising to music (or composing it in the car in parking lots).
