My self-summary
Openly concerned about my fellow man. Happy in most accounts of the word. Seriously, absolutely not serious. Empathetic to a fault. Faulty enough to illicit empathy. Very cognizant of my spelling and grammar, but I did just double check my spelling of cognizant. Atheist and relieved about it. Opinionated in subjects I'm familiar with and objective with those that I am not. Respect kindness. Really enjoy cooking. Really like to eat food I haven't cooked. My eyes are actually hazel, but, to those of you who are not nose to nose with me, you will not be sure of this. Sarcastic. Fond of intelligent and crude humor alike. Appreciative of neat places I've been and looking forward to traveling more and more.

I have a penchant for wandering off to another country for weeks or months at a time. Most recently backpacked through Europe for about 2 months. Have my eye on South America...
What I’m doing with my life
I have the luxury of being my own boss(!), discovering new and exciting ways explore the world, and trying to be more adventurous than your last date. Always working towards some spectacular life that will be the envy of all the kids who bullied me in middle school.

Snowboarding as much as possible (when the season is around). Just picked it up and cannot get enough of it. I'm not the best by any means but I hope to be semi decent within a couple seasons.

Recently became very interested in fitness and leading a generally healthy lifestyle. Have some serious healthy eating tips? Lay it on me. I like food and I'd love to learn some new recipes. I'm currently working up to a half marathon. I'm an asthmatic, too, so cheer me on. I might die.
I’m really good at
I have my fingers in a lot things. Which is not to say I'd don't find room for new and exciting hobbies. Or old and satisfying hobbies. My friends and family usually turn to me to fix their cars and computers, pose intellectual conversation, do their taxes (what the hell), watch their kids, go on adventures. Jack of all trades here, I suppose.

Negotiation and salesmanship are two of my strong suits. I'll talk the pants off a car salesman and sell them to a pants-salesman. Yeah.

I'm a decent cook, for sure.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm a talker. I'll introduce myself to people if I'm somewhere unfamiliar and go from there. Or, maybe, if I am somewhere familiar I will reintroduce myself in some spectacular way. Such as wearing a penguin suit.

Bill Nye the Science Guy said "Every person you will ever meet knows something you don't." I believe that, no matter if it is minuscule or mundane, or life changing in nature, each person can attribute something to your life not previously known. Interesting concept.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors.. Isaac Asimov, Brent Weeks, Ray Bradbury, Dave Eggers etc, etc, etc! My father and I opened a used bookstore once in Massachusetts. Infer what you'd like from that statement.

Some books include: Kite Runner, Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, The Things They Carried... on and on.

I read quite a bit. I couldn't survive without a decent book throughout the week. Big fan of fiction across most genres (except Vampire anything..who comes up with this stuff?)

I don't watch much TV. But, I will watch HIMYM, GoT sometimes. And Archer is good for a laugh.

Movies range all over the place. Love a good laugh.

Comics. The Sunday newspaper kind. Calvin and Hobbes pretty much set many, many life lessons for me. I'm lucky to have been given the books when I was young.

I will eat all the food. All of it.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"Space." I see a lot of profiles that list "Space" as what they spend a lot of time thinking about. What kind of "space" are we talking about here? The space between your refrigerator and the wall that is occupied by dust balls, lost magnets, and forgotten dreams?

Or the space that the naked eye knows nothing of? With innumerable galaxies, millions of planets and stars and elements we've yet to discover? The space that holds every ounce of each element in our bodies? The space that cannot be seen in "real time" as we sit any thousands of light years away?

I think about the space between my fridge and the wall a lot, obviously.
On a typical Friday night I am
Why does Friday have to be more important than my Tuesday? You really should ask what I do on Tuesdays.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I do some moderation on this site from time to time. In other words, I read the messages and see the pictures (shudder) that get reported.
Some of you are sick, strange people. :)

I ride a motorcycle and, sometimes, find this to be more enlightening than interaction with people.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–27
  • Near me
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You've ever considered that your own opinion could be just as flawed as another's.

Or you'd like to teach me how to play the piano in exchange for my company. That's a deal if I've ever seen one.
