My self-summary
I'm a introverted with a strong and stubborn personality. I'm also intensely curious about essentially everything, seeking knowledge is a driving force for me. That curiosity extends to curiosity about people: their ideas, their creative ideals. All that knowledge I use to live life as joyous as possible, filled with wisdom and sensuality. Having ideas for their own sake is bland, they should be used to create or experience. More importantly, I want to be an experimentalist about life, questioning my beliefs regularly. All beliefs are open for questioning, even moral beliefs. I also want to explore sensuality deeply.

My major interests are in philosophy (academic, too), psychology, and art. Then again, I don't like to limit my areas of knowledge. I'm interested in just about any topic, a book on political philosophy can grab me just as easily as a book on linguistics. Most people notice that I know a lot pretty quickly, but what I don't know drives me to discover new ideas or to write new stories. The people I like best are often on that knowledge edge, pushing their curiosity as much as possible.

Some other interests are video games, good food, tea, lots of music, and books about self-exploration and/or scifi. Comedy fits in somewhere. And puns. Lots of puns.

Although I put pansexual as orientation, I'm more like heterosexual with heavy pansexual tendencies and leave it at that. If you're curious about what I mean, please ask! I'm still open to messages from anyone, though.
What I’m doing with my life
I find myself relating wildly different topics to one another all the time.

I'm working to be a research psychologist and get a PhD in cognitive psychology, but in the meantime, I'm doing a lot of writing lately and self-teaching. Learning Latin, just started to recently. Also working on an idea to make an algorithm that gets an AI to learn to count. Eventually I want to build the first genuinely creative AI. It's not just a simple dream, but a goal I work towards.

In the meantime, as I wait to hear back from schools I applied to for a PhD, I am doing a variety of jobs in various areas.
I’m really good at
being strong-willed, writing, analyzing, questioning, telling weird jokes
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like anything scifi, particularly if dystopia, steampunk, individualistic, or cyberpunk related. Philosophy as well.

TV/Anime: Breaking Bad, Broad City, House of Cards, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Code Geass, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Community, Good Eats, The Knick, Hannibal

Book stuff: William Gibson, Robert Heinlein, Nietzsche. Especially Nietzsche. I have a habit of talking about him regularly. I'm fascinated by Poe, Borges, Victor Hugo, Dostoevsky, Roald Dahl, and Nabokov.

Stranger in a Strange Land, The Fountainhead, Beyond Good and Evil, Neuromancer, 1984, Snow Crash, Ninety-Three, Nicomachean Ethics. Reading "Pattern Recognition" by Gibson currently.

Movies: Blade Runner, Hanna, Inception, V for Vendetta, Silver Linings Playbook, The Great Dictator

Music: I gravitate to goth and postpunk. My partial list that includes any genre: The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order, Ladytron, Lady Gaga, My Chemical Romance, VNV Nation, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The B-52s, The Smiths, R.E.M.

Video Games: Bioshock, Chrono Trigger, Xenosaga, Persona (3 and 4), Ocarina of Time, Banjo-Kazooie.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Existence, philosophy, cognitive science, life, consciousness, connections between everything, cyberpunk, scifi predictions, epistemology, set theory, creativity, political structures (real or fictional).
On a typical Friday night I am
becoming an ubermensch (maybe, it's the ideal though), devising schemes of world domination, etc. Well, a bit more realistically, writing or playing some video game, too; joy and fun is important!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
As soon as I reveal something private, it becomes non-private and no longer the most private thing I'm willing to admit. I love paradoxes! I like the song Barbie Girl a lot. . .
You should message me if
Especially if you like similar books, music, video games, movies, or anime as me. Or if you like totally different things, since I like learning as much as possible. I'd love to meet anyone who shares a love for knowledge and wants to study a new subject with me.

if you'd like to go out for lunch or a stand-up show sometime.

If you think Nietzsche is super cool. And as implied by that, being passionate about something, about life, is probably the hottest thing.
