I suppose I could go all cliche and say "Oh, man, I'm terrible talking about myself" and write 6 paragraphs about myself but...well, they're called cliches for a reason ;)
Seriously, though, I'm just a simply complex guy looking for a PiC. Someone to be with and do everything we can together. More on that in a bit.
My biggest passions in life would definitely be stories and sports. Nothing can get my attention easier than a story. I'm a sucker for them. Could be in any medium. I have a library of books (of various genres). I stopped counting when I hit 1,000. Currently in the slow process of getting some real bookcases for them and getting them organized a bit (it's hard to read the Alex Cross series when they aren't lumped together :/ ). I also have a small (er) library of movies. Mostly DVDs cause I'm a cheap bastard and all...though my BluRay collection is slowly growing (Not that I'm replacing my DVDs...just supplementing them). And yes, I even have a tidy collection of video games from all sorts of consoles. Nothing to brag about but they're all fun and/or memorable in their own way.
As for sports, I'm a very active soccer lover. I've been hooked ever since the Dynamo played their first game in April of 2006 and have gotten more and more involved ever since. They are my first (soccer) love. I also follow the Dash, the US National team (men and women and youth) and Pachuca from Mexico (respect). For example: this past month I was pretty much MIA as I watched every single World Cup match (85% live), mostly at all sorts of bars and restaraunts around town. Including the insanity of Lucky's Pub downtown for the US matches. Good (expensive) times.
Besides soccer, my first true love was baseball, especially the Astros. My grandfather took me to so many games over the years in the Dome. Great memories. Great times. Even when they've been losing (a lot...a whole hell of a lot) the past....too many.....years. When the Aeros were around I was a STH for them and loved it. (Damn you Les!) Rockets and Texans games I usually catch on TV but if I can swing it I'll attend a couple games.
Another hobby would be astrophysics/biology and astronomy. Or science in general really but mostly those. I'm more interested in reading up on it but not so much the math. I know just enough math to be able to get the gist of what scientists put out there but not enough to understand without the text.
