NOTE: This text is waaaay old. I've updated my life, but not my
profile yet. Yes, yes, I should be doing that any time
soon...
To start with: I'm a composer. I live in Zwolle, which is a town in
the east of the Netherlands (please don't call my country Holland.
because it's name is The Netherlands! Holland is a region in the
west-coast of the Netherlands where a.o. Amsterdam is located),
where I study
composition at the College of
Music.
When I lived with my parents I had 4 cats and a dog (the oldest two
cats died at the respectable ages of 24 and 22) and I love crazy
little facts.
I'm very interested in the court-culture in the Low Lands of the
Middle-Ages, and in my spare time I like to study Medieval Dutch
Polyphonic music, art, and handwritings.
I used to write poetry, but that habit is currently in a coma, so I
now write essays (mainly about, yes, music), and absurdist
stories.
Did you find
anything useful in the text above?
Composing
music,
discussing music, discovering new music... my life's pretty much
centered around music.
Besides music I also make mockumentaries, and currently I'm working
on the soundtrack for a small film.
forgetting what I wanted to say, telling so many anecdotes I forget
what the main story was...I'm good at forgetting in general.
Oh, I just noticed I'm very good at being unpractical.
My long hair, my rather absurd sense of humour.
Isn't this a stupid section?! I mean: normally one doesn't ask,
when being introduced to someone: "Hi, nice to meet you! Don't you
notice anything about me?"
*Update*
In the last couple of weeks, people all of a sudden started to tell
what they first noticed about me. *shivers*
