I am cool, funny, and froody.

My Self-Summary

I'm pretty hardcore, for a dwarf. Anyways, I'll make you laugh. I'm pretty sarcastic, always honest, and a dedicated friend.

Random things about me:
I have three wall calendars up in my work area. None of them are current - two are from last year. My coworkers' comments about it are a small source of amusement for me.

Foreign language-wise, I've taken four years of Spanish, one year of Russian, and one semester of French. I remember a smattering of each one. Being able to pronounce the Cyrillic alphabet is kinda cool:)

I would love to live in the country or in a small town in the country. I have a morbid fear of unpaved roads, though.

I think breasts are the greatest thing(s) on Earth:)

I could drink Dr. Pepper like it's going out of style. It better not go out of style though. One of my pet peeves about the hospital I work in is that not a single soda machine in the entire building has Dr. Pepper in it. I have to bring my own. Yeah I know there are worse things in the world to deal with, but hey:P

I'm a big fan of grammar and punctuation even though mine aren't perfect and in spite of that I actually consider the smiley face ":)" to be a valid way to end a sentence.
:)

What I’m doing with my life

I'm generally happy. I've been working the same job for nearly four years now. I still love it, but there is no opportunity left for advancement so I'm looking for something new. Update: I haven't found anything yet, but I'm still looking! One has to choose a new job carefully in the current economic environment though.

I'm currently trying to learn to play the guitars that I've had sitting around for so many years. I recently bought a bass guitar so I'm practicing till my fingers are raw. Update: I bought a second bass. I couldn't help myself:)

I’m really good at

Listening to people
Making people laugh
Procrastinating
Creating lolcats
Solving problems
Spelling
Putting my socks on before my shoes.

The first things people usually notice about me

I don't know. What is the first thing you noticed about me?
Probably my facial hair or my hat.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I don't read as much as I should, but when I do I like fantasy novels George R.R. Martin is a favorite. I also like to read history books.

Musically I'm into just about everything. I'm still a huge fan of 80s rock a la Def Leppard, Poison, etc. Also in my CD collection: Pearl Jam, Neal Diamond, Run DMC, Richard Elliott, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Sting, Alabama, and many more. But seriously, people who are judgemental about music are assholes. One of the most interesting things about music in general is that two people can listen to the exact same song and hear two completely different things. Currently I'm heavily into Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers. I'm also listening to a lot of old R&B lately.
Marvin Gaye is in heavy rotation in my CD player.

I don't go out of my way to go to the movies. I usually wait until the DVD comes out and then watch it at home. Favorites are Top Gun, The Princess Bride, Black Hawk Down, Real Genius, Big Trouble In Little China, and Tombstone. Oh and 80s movies like The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles. No more yanky my wanky, the Donger needs food!

Food: Again I like just about everything. I tend to prefer ethnic stuff over traditional American cuisine though. Thai is a favorite, and Mexican.+++ I like to go to Stokes here in Omaha when I can. Their menu is very interesting and delicious and their wine selection is fantastic.

I love wine. I like Italian wines from the Piedmont. There's a bottle of Barbera d'Asti that would be among the things I'd choose to be stranded on a desert island with. Hopefully I'd also have a corkscrew. I recently discovered a bottle of Chenin Blanc that I'm rather infatuated with.

The six things I could never do without

Wine, friends, laughter, warmth, women, Cheez-its, kissing, music, nature, Ramen noodles, books.
Yes, my list goes to 11.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The six (or however many) things I could never do without, sex, music, and what my options are for a future career.

On a typical Friday night I am

On a typical Friday I leave work, pick up a bottle of wine and some take out Chinese and then go home and relax. If I go out/make plans it's usually for Saturday or Sunday.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I was a muppet in a former life.

You just should! It's moral imperative.
