My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I’m Nick. I’m incurably curious. I'm silly and ambitious. I wish I was around in the 70's and I play a mean game of Scrabble. I enjoy life, the universe, and almost everything. Especially if has a good soundtrack.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Packed up and moved to The City: I now work in a bank. I'm just as charming, but more financially literate. Just don't ask me to explain Dodd-Frank.

My games business is still ticking on the side - hopefully close to launch soon! I'm getting better at guitar, though my Mick Jagger impression needs work. Also understanding music theory, although I still don't get a double-diminished 4th. Drumming was so much easier.

Going on a sailing holiday this summer with friends; I've never sailed before. My horizons, they will be broadened.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm good at drumming, and cooking, and singing in the shower (not necessarily at the same time). I make a mean margarita and my chili is to die for (it's hot though!). I've been told more than once I'm a good dancer. I'm also really good at mental arithmetic - go on, challenge me.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I know a lot of things, all of them useless. I’m pretty good at pub quizzes though!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Anything that's got the blues. A lot of classic rock, folk, and a bit of electronica. Recently I've been listening to Thin Lizzy, Metric, Dream Theater, The Cardigans and The Rolling Stones.

STILL in the middle of reading Godel, Escher, Bach; This book is a marathon, but a good one.

Favourite books include Dune, The Silmarillion, A Scanner Darkly, and A Song of Ice and Fire. I also read a lot of non-fiction: this year I've read Daniel Kahneman, Nate Silver, and Jared Diamond.

I love film, and in another life I'd be a film director. Classics I love include 'The Empire Strikes Back', 'Bladerunner', 'Vertigo' and '12 Angry Men'.

Spicy food is good food, sharp flavours are my favourite but I eat pretty varied things. Red Cabbage is about the only thing I wont eat.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
4-5 Ice Cubes
3 Drops Angostura bitters
3 measures golden rum
1 tsp Blue Curacao
1 tsp sugar syrup
Juice of 1/2 lime
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I am innately curious about everything. Everything I see, I want to know and to understand. Yeah.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
In Brewdog Shoreditch drinking strong, dark beer, and attempting to be witty. Or in my flat making homemade pizza or bacon whiskey, writing code for my current game project. Or in the cinema watching some varied kind of film (though it probably features Scarlett Johansson)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm addicted to power ballads.

If you know a good pub quiz, if you can introduce me to a new cocktail bar, or if you're looking for a drummer. Or just because. Sometimes that's all it takes.
