I never know how it happens.
I like documentary films a lot, especially ones by Nova, and also some independent ones. I love Elephant, which Gus Van Sant directed; I also love Rent, and don't get why more people don't (even though a whole lot of people do). Were the World Mine is definitely the film I've watched the most, probably over thirty or forty times just in one or two years. Little Miss Sunshine is one of my favorites, too, and there are more I can't think up right now, some that I maybe love even more than the ones I mentioned. I am also completely and un-apologetically in love with My Neighbor Totoro.
My opinion on food is that I like it sometimes, and that I like pasta best.
The Office is entirely amazing to me, and I love it way more than I should, probably. I watch it in huge chunks on Netflix. I also am strangely fond of My Strange Addiction. Psych is great, and I love it a lot; it's the only thing I watch on actual TV. I am just beginning to get into The IT crowd, also, and the BBC's Sherlock. Oh my god, Sherlock. I could talk for days about those three episodes, you guys, you have no idea. I'm also crushing pretty hard for Supernatural right now.
I love making music and listening to it. Yael Naïm is one of my favorite musicians ever, and I loveloveloved She was a boy. Sufjan Stevens is another favorite; everything he does is amazing and perfect and beautiful, and sometimes it's almost too much. Jack Johnson is fantastic, and the kind of person I would love to grow up to be. I love Frightened Rabbit. I love Taking Back Sunday and Brand New, and I love the Decemberists. I love the Postal Service and Motion City Soundtrack and Rabbi Shergill. The Smiths speak to me in a way not a lot of bands can, and I love them infinitely because of it. Tracy Chapman and Joni Mitchell have my heart forever, and I like also like The Audition and My Chemical Romance. Sage Franics is sort of ridiculously awesome, too; he and The Last Emperor are, you know. Sort of brilliant. I am not afraid to admit I love Black Veil Brides, too, no matter how much my friends tease me over it (which is a lot). Kimya Dawson never fails to make me smile.
Sometimes I'm thinking about ethical stuff, like the problem of victim-shaming in cases of rape or all the ways farm animals are mistreated in big factories.
Sometimes I'm just thinking about shoes and how weird they are. Because I guess socks are really the clothes part of what goes on feet, like pants, because they're cloth. Like foot pants. But then shoes have about a hundred different pieces, and the bottoms are plastic or whatever to combat gravel. So does that count as clothing, or what? Seriously? But I guess some are leather, which some jackets and pants and skirts and stuff are, which are all clothes, also. Anyone else think about this, too?
Please don't be transphobic if you message me! It isn't kind and it isn't respectful, and I am solid on my views of trans people and issues. I am open to any questions or discussion, though, just be kind about it.
