My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm not actually orange.

My hair changes colors...usually white to dirty blond, but sometimes funkier things, so long as it look good.

I'm open to most new experiences.

My tastes are highly eclectic and selective...but that doesn't mean I dislike things that are positively awful. I can be a bit of a goofball, but that doesn't mean I'm not an adult.

I am a tea really.

I'm not looking for my future wife/husband/whatever. I'm looking for people who want to have a date...and if that goes well, maybe another date...and continue in said fashion until we figure out if our dates are actually romantic, or are born of enjoying hanging out with each other...and then pursuing either of those to their logical end (both of which probably involve helping the other person bury a body somewhere).

You don't need to be a perfect match...just someone who wants to have a conversation and see if we stimulate each other in exciting ways.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working and creating. Writing music, working in theater, directing, conducting, and singing (mainly singing).

I'm a composer, singer, and all around musician/actor/performer/music director. I *used* to be a software engineer in another life. Though I still do IT as a day job.

I recently got back from being music director for a play that ran off-broadway.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Singing, thinking, philosophizing, sounding like I know what I'm talking about when I have no clue, and I'm better at most things than I give myself credit for. I'm just as good at self-aggrandizement as I am at self-doubt.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair and my eyes, after that it's my sense of humor.

I laugh very easily.

I have a love of the weird and absurd.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Blade Runner, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Evangelion, Texhnolyze, Death Note, Lost in Translation. Dr. Horrible, I <3 Huckabees, Run Lola name a few.

Twin Peaks is the best thing ever produced on television, but The League of Gentlemen is a close second (no, not the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen). The Doctor is one of my absolute favorite heroes.

Music: Anything from Chopin to Jacques Brel to Sisters of Mercy to Nick Cave. If I have a favorite album, it's probably Bowie's Outside, maybe The Fragile from Nine Inch Nails, but really it could be a lot of different things. There used to be a poster of Nick Cave on my bedroom door if that says anything. The Cure, Early Ministry, EBM...I grew up immersed in goth-industrial culture/music.

Books: psychological, weird fantasy, Philosophical Science Fiction. My favorite book is Neuromancer, but my favorite author is Philip K. Dick, and all I read lately is China Miéville. Hmmm...Dune is a good book. So is The End of the Affair by Graham Greene. House of Leaves is brilliant. John Dies at The End.

Food - don't make me eat feta or grape leaves. I love to cook but not for myself.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pianos to bang on (quite literally, I can't play the damn things to save my life, try as I may), Words to chew, late night walks, incessant flirting, rain and fog, you'll have to talk to me to find the others.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
everything...why everything sucks...why kids need to get off my lawn even though I don't have one...why I don't have a third arm, or maybe a set of horns, or a prehensile tail and how very disappointing that is...why I have to go to work tomorrow...why I can't get that damn motive out of my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either going crazy trying to find people to hang out with, or I'm sucked into my computer or a film or book and need the world to get out of my space.

I guess I might be practicing guitar too.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
There is VERY little I keep private about myself. I don't really believe in adhering too much to standard social boundaries that have no actual basis in logic.

You know what both an unsigned integer, and a french augmented 6th are.

If you are now wondering what either an unsigned integer, or a french augmented 6th is...or both.

You want to go exploring...either Chicago or some suburb you've never been to, or somewhere else.

You understand that there is no actual difference between "serious" and "joking."

You like forcing your friends to watch movies that you know they'll think are positively awful and slightly hate you for.

You are certain that there's a time and a place for everything, and you are unfortunately never in that place or time whenever you're doing something.

You are a fan of the Oxford Comma, or can present a well-formed argument to the contrary and wish to do battle.

You understand that there is absolutely nothing wrong with hyperbolic usage of the word 'literally'....or would like to have a debate on said topic.
