My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm polyamorous with an open relationship. I have an amazing and wonderful girlfriend, SwissMistress, as well as an amazing and adorkable boyfriend who (so far as I know) does not have a profile here, both of whom I love dearly.

Right now, I'm not really looking for anything serious. I'm not opposed to it if it comes up, but not seeking it either. I probably am looking for fun times between the sheets, though. And I'm always down to meet and talk with new and interesting people. (If you're a girl who likes girls and think I sound interesting, go look at SwissMistress. She's looking for a girl and is very similar to me!)

The profile says I'm bi. I really mean it, I love both men and women. I'm just over center towards men on ye olde Kinsey Scale.

I'm a big fan of non-traditional relationships. Obviously.

A little more broadly about me: most of my time is spent reading and playing games. Almost all the games I play are social, either online or face to face. (I currently play D&D/Pathfinder, have played Vampire, Shadowrun, and quite a few others in the past, board games on occasions when my close friends and I feel like playing something but don't want to roleplay, and recently stopped playing MMO's [no distaste for them, just not something I'm doing at the moment].) For literary tastes, please see below. =)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've relatively recently learned a lot about nutrition and fitness in my quest to lose the fat. Down 110 pounds, then up 30 pounds of muscle! Feels great. I'm currently on the quest to lose the last bit of fat that I want to lose. So please don't be offended if I decline an offer of dinner. It's not you or dinner, it's the calories that I don't want to hang out with.

I work, broadly, in the field of entertainment, doing finance. The company is great, the work is tolerable, and the people are amazing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Getting along with people. Finishing video games on "normal" setting. Passing classes. Finishing books. Making sections of my OkCupid profile way too long.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
The piercings. =D

Books! I love books. There's something just right about curling up under the blankets on a cool evening with the printed word in one's hand. Or in a chair in the backyard in the summer shade. Or in the seat of an airplane. Or in the car while I'm waiting for something. You get the idea!

For the most part, I read science fiction with a fair helping of fantasy. I like far-future sci-fi that deals with the social implications of technological advancement. I like near-future sci-fi that does the same. I like adventure sci-fi with good characters. I like hard sci-fi that explores possible future tech. I like military sci-fi with good characters. I like political fantasy with good characters. I like fantasy adventure that actually has a plot. I think I'm sensing a theme here. I could list authors all day, but that doesn't really give a sense of what I enjoy. And I'm always willing to try a new author.

Movies! I love movies that have compelling, sympathetic, flawed characters and a sad ending. I love movies that really work over your expectations and make you think about what's happening. I'm also much more likely to see a movie that I've never watched than one that I've seen and enjoyed.

Music! I have somewhat eclectic tastes. A bit punk, a bit pop-punk, a bit hard rock, a bit soft rock, a bit oldies, a bit pop, a bit emo. Mostly, I put Pandora on QuickMix and let it play whatever it wants, and then add artists that I like as they come up.

Food! I love food. You can take me anywhere, and I'll find something I like. And if you take me to sushi, I'll tell you that you shouldn't have spent that much on me and be extremely grateful (take that as you'll probably be accurate). And full of fish. *grin*
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Internet
Tasty food
Smartphone - seriously, I have a handheld multifuction computer and communication device the likes of which you see in far future science fiction sitting in the palm of my hand. We live in the f'in future and don't even realize it. I love living in the future!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Work stuff. This is not as bad as it sounds! I really love the company I work for and have an active and vested desire to make it succeed.

Optimizing my gaming characters.

Why does exercise have to hurt? /sigh

Beyond that...I like to think about people and the ways that people interact. I am fascinated by interpersonal issues and shocked by the number of ways people devise to be nasty to each other in very unnecessary ways. (About once a week, one of my coworkers will link me an article with the preface, "Would you like some indignant rage today?")

I also love thinking about stories and scenarios and technology and the future. I've been known to be one of those people who just stares out the window, thinking.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with my girl or my boy or both, probably playing video games. =D
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Oh, oh! I keep sex toys in my nightstand! How's that? Revealing enough? Too predictably sexual?
