My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a bit of a nerd, a bit of a badass, and a bit of girly-girl all at once. I'm quite pleased with the combination, as it means I can do pretty much anything. I moved out of my hometown at 18 to join the army, and three years ago I switched from full-time to National Guard. I complain on a regular basis about the army, but in all honesty I love it.

I've had several years of training through the army on stuff most guys have wet dreams over, I am (or used to be) bi-lingual, I'm in a trade school learning stenography, and I consider myself auto-didactic. And I am highly annoyed that none of those options are represented on the 'education' tab of most online profiles, hence my decision to go with 'Space Camp' on this one.

I love to read and write and am part of the way through writing my first novel. (Well my....fourth or fifth, but I didn't get far into the others, so they don't count.) I gravitate toward the sci-fi/fantasy genre. Most works on the Best Seller list, especially if they are dramatic, just annoy me.

I cuss fluently, but (usually) only when appropriate. I get pissed off when people think that because I look young and cute, they have to apologize for every 'fuck' and 'damn' that comes out of their mouths. They probably should apologize, just not to me. Being an adult and all, I swear I'm not going to get the vapors at anything anyone says.

On the whole, though, I'm a pretty easy person to get along with. I tend to be low-key and not cause waves. If I don't like something, I'll just ignore or avoid it instead of raise a fuss. (Except online, where I'm just as susceptible to jackassery as the everyone else.) I like to have fun and be active, and I still think Disneyland is the greatest place on earth. :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm going to school, I'm writing, I'm always on the lookout for fun stuff to try. Basically...I'm just living it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
A bunch of rather random things. I've been told I'm a pretty good writer, though. I'm a half-decent shot. I absorb new concepts like a sponge, so teachers usually like me.

I also seem to be uncommonly good at scaring away dogs, even though I love them. :(
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes. I've heard people come up with some really strange guesses trying to put a color to them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Like I said, I gravitate toward sci-fi/fantasy. I'll also eat up history books like no one's business and I recently got into economics. I almost never go for straight-up 'literature,' but I'll try something if it's recommended to me. Mysteries and Romances I find amusing, but they're still a guilty pleasure when I'm in the mood.

Movies: Dramas and RomComs usually make me gag, but every now and then I'll find one I like. Mostly I stick to Comedy and Action. Or both. I love Boondock Saints.

Music: Any kind of rock. 80s rock, alternative rock, hard rock. Okay, any kind except the kind that likes to scream incoherently. I also like country, but I have no idea what the fascination is with Taylor Swift.

Food: I am a steak-and-potatoes girl, all the way.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family, a home, my computer, an internet connection, ...er, food and air?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Oh, it changes quite often. Right now it's the state of public education. Or just about how soul-crushingly huge the universe is. Or how to get out of the latest corner I've written myself into. Or why people on message boards are jerks. Or how so many bad books got published. (Seriously, there has to be a trick, because they didn't do it on talent.)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At a bar, on my computer, or re-watching Firefly for the millionth time. Friday is my lazy day. :)

Saturday, however, I'm more likely to get off my ass and actually do stuff.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I always wear my socks inside-out. They're more comfortable that way.

Fair warning: I ignore messages from guys that can't spell or punctuate correctly. Words are my passion, and I'm not interested in someone who can't use them correctly.
