Also...

I live to bike and music makes my world go round. In an effort to unite my two passions: medicine and social justice, I am doing an MPH and am working towards an MD. I currently hold two degrees; one in philosophy and one in bio-med. I play the violin, can knit me a mean pair of socks, and am a love-O-aholic. I love to work and I thrive when I am busy, but living a balanced life is important to me so I try to find time each day to slow things down.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently working as a clinical epidemiologist and someday hope to practice medicine in rural and developing regions of the world. Some things I like to do in my spare time include racing, making music, seeing shows, climbing, and being with the people I love.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being me!

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
All time favoriate books: Zen and Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, the Unbearable Lightness of Being, Nausea (Sarte), Steppenwolf, and the Edible Women (Atwood). Movies: Another Earth, Perfect Sense, and I Heart Huckabees. Music (this is incredibly hard): among the top "many" are Cat Power, Wintersleep, the Postal Service, Radiohead, Feist, the Weakerthans, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Broken Social Scene, Hey Rosetta, Mogwai, and Do Make Say Think. Foods: tuna sashimi, pizza, Thai basil chicken, palak paneer...and the classics: fruit, hummus & veggies, and yogurt & granola.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I like to think I'm good at "making do" with little. That said, there are a few things that certainly improve the quality of my life.
In no particular order, these things are:

- My bikes
- The sun
- My Mac
- Love
- Music
- Coffee
- A vital sense of curiosity
- Raw and unyielding wilderness
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The pursuit of happiness vs. the pursuit of meaning ...and of course, food.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Being with my partner, watching flicks and experimenting with food
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I read one of the Twilight books. It was awful.
