My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
life and living it. i heart the smell of the atlantic and grapefruit and avocado salads. there is a particular type of weather, just short of fog, but heavier than mist where the world swims and 'tendrils' becomes a way of describing your day. i feel at home there. peeling is a favorite pastime of mine. skin, fruit, layers, and levels. i think that uncomfortable is important and try to spend some time there. my life is made of extremes, but i've tried to not be so extreme about it. reading, writing, the great outdoors, costumes, travel, music except for new country and ballads, late night talks, doing nothing on a nice day, debauchery, laughing til it hurts like hell, getting fired up about something that's worth it, meditation, spirituality, being with friends, being alone, and the list goes on and on and on....
to tell you about me would be to tell you of what i interest and what interests me. little things, simple things. i spent a long while yesterday watching ants carry a leaf. my favorite season is the fall on the east coast and summer on the west. i think i would like spring in ireland and summer in the greek isles. my fingers often find their way to my scars and i like the smell of burnt cheese. sometimes i don't know the difference between thought and deed, what i dreamt and what i meant. i don't know if i mind. my voice is big and i really laugh. on sundays i make a big breakfast with my girls, listen to music with the soles of my feet, and drink strong coffee under the trees. i like to knit, but i'm not that good. fire dancing and belly dancing seem like a good way to spend some time. not a hippie, but inclined towards organics. believer in change and cranky procrastinator. about me. by the time you read this it may no longer be true.

I am curious, in love w/ laughter, and ready to dig deeper
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
wandering and learning, peeling and digging.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
delighting in the small things, making people laugh and being there for those i love. what i'm not so good at is answering questions like these. i guess i'm a fan of getting to know people 'organically', rather than by reading the answers to these lil' questions. or perhaps that's just my way of copping out because i feel awkward talking about myself. hmmm....
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
hmmm probably my laugh....and my height.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Far too many books to list; Authors will have to suffice: Steinbeck, Faulkner, Kundera, Atwood, Baudelaire, Hemmingway, Vonnegut, Manicka, Hugo, Hawkins, Salinger, Palahniuk, Roy and so on, so forth...
I heart hucklebees is a great flick, as is Harold and Maude. Hmmm I just saw District 9 and thought it was pretty interesting.
I love, love, love music, but find it difficult to define a 'favorite'. It changes with my mood. I will never tire of Beethoven, Simone, or Cohen. On an average day I tend to listen to a lot of hiphop, a dash of folk and just a sprinkle of classical.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
i don't know where i would be without my daughter and friends, books, laughter, the outdoors, travel and a feeling of thankfulness.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Stuff. All kinds of stuff. I would like to have a conversation about a good deal of it, but not a conversation that begins with 'what are you thinking?'. This question is a lil' too much like that brilliant conversation starter, so I'm just going to smile and nod and say I need to refresh my drink now....
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Home or out with friends. Garbed in lipgloss and wedges, or in pajamas. Reading or not reading. Typically.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
i was raised with wolves
i like cheesy magazines on occasion, but i will rarely admit it
i once went almost a year without shoes
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you want to talk to me? is this a trick question? ok, you should message me if you're attractive, brilliant, hilarious, spontaneous, passionate and artsy. please don't message me if you think 'u r hawt' is an awesome compliment, or if you actually say 'lol'. please message me if you have a good story. i'm a sucker for story tellers...
