My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm getting seriously p'd off with OKC, in particular the
Quickmatch thing. Why does it keep showing my profile apparently only to guys when I'm not looking for one?
Update: a while back, I posted something on the help forums about my profile showing up only to guys on Quickmatch and now OKC has a gay button! Well, it's actually a check box that says "I don’t want to see or be seen by straight people." I feel like I'm in a Windows 7 advert!

Oh heck, I hate writing about myself so here's a meme....
My name is Emma. I am:
aunt, big sister, daughter, different, female-identified, femme-ish, friend, gay-curious, gender dysphoric, human, in transition, intelligent, introvert, kinky, leopard, little sister, MTF, male-assigned, miss, misunderstood, myself, none of the above,
none of your business, not sure of others, oblivious, out-ish,
quiet, readable, shy, transfemale, transwoman, wannabe.

Random thought of the day - I've realised I like geeks but I'm not one myself.

I am shy, funny, and kind.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
It feels like I'm drifting aimlessly.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
fiddling with things, dismantling and mantling!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
How quiet I am, though they have to be perceptive, since I'm hardly going to shout it, am I?
Oh, and my height. I'm quite tall.
Though not as tall as some people might think.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Ooh food! When it comes to eating, it's my favourite thing! I love Italian and the UK interpretation of Chinese food, though the real deal sounds a bit scary according to some people who have actually been to China. I have also started eating more spicy stuff than I ever used to.

I have a fairly unsophisticated taste in books - Terry Pratchett, JK Rowling, Philip Pullman, Louise Rennison and have just been reading Stephenie Meyer's Twilight saga books.

As regards music, this is what is currently on this lappy, but isn't necessarily a favourite: Faithless, Mott The Hoople, Black Eyed Peas, ABC, Arctic Monkeys, Avril Lavigne, Badly Drawn Boy, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Bhundu Boys, Bob Dylan, Coldplay, Counting Crows, Dragster, Duffy, Evelyn Evelyn, Golden Earring, Green Day, Allan Smethurst , Bill Bailey, Les Barker, Eurythmics, Joan Jett, Keith Burton, Kirsty MacColl , Let Go, Liz Phair, The Kingsmen, Namoli Brennet, Oestrogenix, Orchestra Baobab, Pink Floyd, Prince Buster , Razorlight, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Richard Thompson, Erik Satie, Scouting For Girls, Shakira, Skatalites, Chris Difford, Department S, Desmond Dekker and the Aces, Ian Dury And The Blockheads, Jonah Lewie, King Kurt, Lene Lovich, Madness, Nick Lowe, Tenpole Tudor, The Belle Stars, The Damned, The Members, Theatre Of Hate, Tracey Ullman, Wreckless Eric, The Magic Numbers, The Pogues, The Script, The Strokes, The Ting Tings, The Verve, Joan Armourplating, The Wombats, Vampire Weekend, 999, Billy Idol, Blondie, Bow Wow Wow, Buzzcocks, Cockney Rejects, Flying Lizards, Penetration, Ramones, Stiff Little Fingers, Talking Heads, The Banned, The Ruts, The Skids, The Stiffs, The Stranglers, Vice Squad, Devo, Dexys Midnight Runners, Dr Feelgood, Generation X, Killing Joke, Magazine, New Model Army, Public Image Ltd, The Tom Robinson Band, The Vapors, Angelic Upstarts, Simple Minds, Spear Of Destiny, The Rezillos, The Specials, XTC, REM

Favourite movies of late are Mamma Mia and No Country for Old Men (see, I'm full of contrasts!)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
t'internet, nice shoes, medication, my sister (the shoes count as two things and my sister is worth two!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
the future. And sometimes the past.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
one day older than Thursday
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
OK, so I'm a bit of a perv.

And I'm a transsexual woman. (I used to say "I'll fess up, I'm a transsexual woman" but that makes it sound like something for which I should feel guilty, and I certainly don't.) If you think that means 'man in a dress' you can go away now, please.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over. can string together something marginally more interesting than a one liner or even a one worder! And can spell. And you didn't put "message me if you want to know; it's too private to admit here"
