My self-summary
In the beginning, I was an odd child, with fluffy brown curls. I took school seriously. Perhaps too seriously. I remember I once wore a suit and carried a brief case to my second grade classroom. That’s when I learned the value of not being in second grade.

Later I went to more school, where I learned to like watching basketball and eat BBQ. I returned to NY to work in homeless shelters. Well not in the shelters, but, you know, doing policy for them. That’s when I learned it’s better not to be homeless, so I went to more school, where I struggled unsuccessfully to bring powdered wigs back into fashion.

Finally I returned to NY, where I get paid to argue, which is convenient, as I’ve been arguing pro bono since birth. I spend 42.3% of my time in afternoon movies, making mint juleps, and slathering on sun screen. (I’ve been known to sneak a cocktail into the theater on summer afternoons – on occasion wearing sunscreen, for the trifecta.) I'm also hunting for the greatest dumpling, and methodically tracking my progress on pinterest.
The first things people usually notice about me
My friends say I have no filter but I like to think of myself as unusually honest.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love buffalo wings. When I'm not eating buffalo wings, and sometimes when I am eating buffalo wings, I'm reading serious, often non-fiction, books (Devil in the Grove, Snowball, Moneyball, Kissenger by Isaacson, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy) and watching dark comedies (The Big Lebowski, The Royal Tenenbaums, Spies Like Us) or very silly movies -- think robots fighting with each other. Though, I did really enjoy The Fog of War. I typically like TV that falls somewhere in the middle, mostly comedies like The League and 30 Rock.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I would do if I woke up as Bill Murray's character in Groundhog Day. My next meal. And public policy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Clutching gin, tequila, and/or bourbon. Sometimes with other people.
