I like experiencing different kinds of things and the variety that
exists in life, so I'm working on trying out new things. This is
relatively easy since I've been in DC less than a year, and I'm
still exploring what the area has to offer.
A significant portion of my free time is spent training for
triathlons. I've got a June half-ironman and a November Ironman in
the plans for 2013 along with other smaller races. Yes, I am a
little insane and also a masochist. But despite the amount of time
and effort I'm putting into training, I'm really not a jock. I'm
slow at running, biking and swimming, but I can go forever so long
distance is this year's challenge.
For work, I'm a volunteer coordinator. I love it, since I can talk
to people as much as I like and also spend a good amount of time
playing around with databases, procedures, and other office
admin.
Other interests/hobbies/whatevers: board games, knitting, reading,
snarking, going out for drinks, hiking, museums, and
wandering/exploring. I love trying to get lost and sometimes I even
succeed.
