My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A funny, passionate, intelligent, crude (at times) man who has come a long way to where he is, and is looking forward to the rest of the way he has to go. Someone who isn't afraid to put himself out there for scrutiny, and loves to chat it up about all of life's trials and tribulations.

I've revised my profile a dozen times now, realizing that maybe being TOO candid was a turnoff for people. I'm very honest about what I like and who I am, and gravitate towards people who are the same.

I'm currently on a weight-loss kick - I've lost 25 pounds since I started working on it, and hope to keep losing through the summer. Exercise buddies are also welcome!

What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Living it day by day - I have a job I love, full of challenges to be overcome. I'm looking forward to taking a step back from worrying about my career so I can focus on other things (relationship building, hobbies, and whatnot).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being a sysadmin. I'm also a pretty good singer (countertenor).

I'm a great listener, and very analytical/logical. If you need something sorted out, I'm very helpful in sussing out the pros and cons.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My green eyes (I'm told they're striking), my obnoxious laugh (I don't hold back).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I love Fantasy/SciFi. I'll watch anything as long as it's engaging. I'll eat anything as long as it won't kill me (or make me sick). I'm a sucker for 90's Alt-Rock/Grunge, but listen to just about anything.

I realize this sounds like I like everything (and I do...), but to narrow it down further (and because I *LOVE* organizing and making lists), here's some lists for easy perusal:

The Fionavar Tapestry - Guy Gavriel Kay
The Lord Of The Rings - J.R.R. Tolkien
The Darksword books - Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman
The Chronicles Of Thomas Covenant The Unbeliever - Stephen R. Donaldson
The Mists Of Avalon - Marion Zimmer Bradley
The Great Book of Amber - Roger Zelazny
Sailing To Sarantium - GGK
Anything from the Dragonlance mythos (cheesy but the first series of books that got me "hooked" on reading) - various authors, the most prominant of which are Weis & Hickman

Kill Bill
Ghost In The Shell

I don't really subscribe to many... I watch them as they come up and I download 'em:
Person Of Interest
The Good Wife
many different Japanese Anime series'

"Classical" Genre:
J.S. Bach (my main man!)
F.J. Haydn
W.A. Mozart
S. Rachmaninov
L.v. Beethoven
G. Pergolesi
A. Vivaldi
and many many many others

Other Genres:
Nirvana (so classic)
Hole (If I were a woman, I would want to be as balls-out as Courtney Love)
Radiohead (every album brings something new)
Nine Inch Nails
Dir en grey (so strange/exotic)
Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy composer extraordinaire)
Yoko Kanno (Vision of Escaflowne, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone, so many others)
just about anything with a hard edge and catchy tune.

Chinese (especially Szechuan)
*GOOD* Burgers
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order...

My computer
My phone
My cat (awww)
My sense of humour
My life experiences
My hands (yup... so many uses for them!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Who I am and where I want to be. I've gone through a lot of changes in my life (for the better, I'd like to think!), and am not afraid of the future changes to come.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At home, relaxing after a week at work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apparently joking about picking noses is unacceptable... so here's another:

I regularly walk around naked in my living room - who needs clothes?

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're interested in what you've read and are serious about meeting up at least once (even if it's just for coffee). You should also not take yourself TOO seriously - I love to laugh (especially about the silly things that happen to me). I'm a bit of a geek, but that's ok - we're making a comeback, baby!

I'm not interested in online penpals - I've spent the time filling out this profile so I can "take it offline" (as we say in the IT world).
