Hi, my name is Tim. I am considered a nice, friendly guy and I tend to be able to get on with anyone. I am quite intelligent, though maybe lacking a little in common sense at times. I tend to be quite shy at first, but only around those I am attracted to, I am as extroverted as they come around everyone else. My sense of humour is a bit on the dark/sarcastic side though I am not one to ever let an opportunity for a one-liner slip me by. I have lived in Taunton for 3 1/2 years now and have been single for about a year. I feel I am at a time in my life where I want to settle down for good. I have had a couple of false starts in the past in that area, but I am sure that the right one is out there for me somewhere. Maybe you?

Currently signed off¸ so life is rather boring at the moment. One day I would love to move back to America. I lived there for a few years in the past, and it was amazing. They really do love us Brits over there!

Being a good partner. Sounds a bit cliche I guess, but it is true. I am affectionate, loyal, loving. I tend to put my all into a relationship and will go to the ends of the earth for those I love.

Empathising. I have been through a lot in my life, not all good, but not all bad. I feel I have been through more than most have at my age, experienced life from many perspectives. And I feel I have a good understanding of human nature. I can read people like books, which I guess is what makes me good at my job.

Cooking. I don't have any cooking qualifications or anything like that. But I love to experiment. It seems I have a knack for seasoning. I never, EVER measure, I go by, I don't know, instinct I guess, yet people always seem to enjoy my food

Crosswords (cryptic for preference), anagrams, number puzzles etc., I'm a bit of a brainiac at times I guess, I like to keep my mind active, or rather I need to give it something to do, because it is TOO active as it is.

Guitar hero! I don't even own a console, so rarely play. My little brother does, and it winds him right up that he never beats me, and he plays it on the highest level!

My eyes. Everyone says it, but it's true! People always compliment me on my eyes. They are grey, sometimes more blue, sometimes more green, sometimes more brown. They are confused eyes :)

My teeth. I'm going to just throw it out there because tbh am sick of people instantly judging me and running for the hills. I have had some problems with them in the past and as a result had to have quite a few removed from the sides. I do have plates, unfortunately, due to my TN (see below), I can`t use them. People say I have a nice smile, but my smiles generally don't include my teeth.

Terry Pratchett, first and foremost. the guy is a living legend and I always eagerly anticipate reading his newest books the first moment I can.

I am a fan of fantasy more so than sci-fi books. Though am always open to reading new things. I read voraciously and go through as many as 6 or 8 books a week. (I finished the final Harry Potter book at 4am on the day of a midnight release, sat on the floor of a Barnes & Noble bookstore in Illinois)

Music, well I feel I am able to appreciate musical talent in whatever form it comes. But deep down I am an aging rocker. AC/DC to ZZ Top and everyone in between. My all time favourite band is Journey and since LONG before Glee had ever even been thought of. Cheers for ruining my favourite song guys! (OK so they did a good job, but it just isn't right!)

As for movies, I am open for almost anything. I love movies that make me think, but at the same time I do enjoy a good high octane, tongue-in-cheek action.

Music, without music I think I would go mad

The Internet. There is so much to learn out there and it is all just a click away.
My Leather Jacket. I have had it for a few years now, it is the heaviest and warmest coat I have ever owned and I am sure it will grow old with me.
Coffee!!! I drink so much of it that I always say it has no effect on me. I have a coffee before bed and never stops me sleeping. However recently, I accidentally bought a jar of decaff. Could NOT keep my eyes open that day. Soon bought some regular.

Final thing I cannot do without...... Some explaining first because this is another thing I am sick of being judged on. I suffer from a rare condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia. To put it blunt, pain and lot's of it. When it attacks it can be quite debilitating. I have a prescription but it is useless, was up to 16 tablets a day at one point and made zero difference. Did some research online and tried cannabis. It stuns me how effective it is, and how quickly it works. I am NOT a stoner, I don't smoke it all the time, only when I get a TN attack. This is a part of my life, I wish it wasn't, but it is. However the level of pain experienced leaves me with little choice.

The future. I really want to settle down, I want the wife, house, car and 2.4 children. But I won't settle for just anyone to get what I want. I want it to be the right girl for me. And of course I want to be the right man for her. Also I find it strange that on this site, if i filter my matches by match %, nearly all over 90% are in America

Generally having a night in, I usually finish work about 7 or 8 so not really wanting to go out by then. But do occasionally.

I have a weakness for redheads. I don't know why but they make me weak at the knees.

You can accept me for who I am. I know I'm not the best looking guy but I feel I make up for that in what I give to a relationship.
