I was born in a rural area and take a lot of what I love from my
experiences growing up. The sounds of wind in the trees with no
traffic, being able to see the Milky Way, late night drives through
the woods, and the smell of Fall and the wood stoves that come with
I always try to stay curious, ask questions about the world and
myself, and hopefully do something meaningful from there on in.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm recently obtained my Master's degree and work an office job
planning events and traveling the country hosting them. I've had
the opportunity to meet a lot of great people and generally enjoy
what I do.
Also, I'm a driver for Lyft on some weekends. It's a ride-sharing
company that's an alternative to taxis. If you've been to Boston
and seen a car with a pink mustache on the grill, that's them. It's
a lot of fun and I get to meet a bunch of cool people giving rides.
I’m really good at
Reading people. It's actually a sort of parlor trick my friends ask
me to do for people they know but I don't. I'm weirdly accurate and
I'd be happy to demonstrate if you'd like!
I also love debating (not arguing) about issues I care about, and
some I don't. I think being able to debate well says a lot about
someone's character and their depth of knowledge.
The first things people usually notice about me
Either that I tend to just slightly overdress for things, ie I've
been known to wear a suit to a dive bar, or that my voice
carries... a lot. Especially when I get excited about a topic or a
situation, it's not uncommon for people to need to subtly tell me
to lower my voice, at which point I pause and realize just how loud
I was. That being said, I'm unapologetic for myself when I get
passionate about something!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love short stories and have written a few myself. Edgar Allen
Poe's collections are some of my favorite, as are Hemingway's.
There are many others but those two authors come to mind
I love movies and, in general, can find redeemable qualities in
most movies. Some of my favorites are Master and Commander, Lord of
the Rings, Lucky Number Slevin, The Departed, Boondock Saints,
My favorite shows right now are Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's
Burgers, South Park (yes, a lot of cartoons :D), how i met your
mother, Big Bang Theory, and Game of Thrones.
The six things I could never do without
My computer (I hate to say it)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. I've always been a little too ambitious for my own good
and that leads me to never be quite satisfied with where I am in
life. It doesn't mean I'm not happy; it just means I'm always
reaching. I also sometimes try to wrap my head around how big the
universe is. I don't think our brains are really capable of
comprehending it so trying is a cool feeling.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends if I can be either at a bar or a music venue.
Sometimes I enjoy a quiet night in but I thrive off of socializing
and meeting new people so if the opportunity is there, I'll take
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a person of habit to a weird degree about food. I ate the same
lunch (peanut butter and jelly sandwich, fruit cup, V8, Snapple)
every school day for lunch from 6th to 12th grade and ate it in the
same order as well. It wasn't as if I couldn't mentally bring
myself to eat something else, I just didn't, and looking back,
that's pretty weird!
You should message me if
Any/all of the above made it sound like I'm the type of person
you'd enjoy getting to know better. Like I said, I love meeting and
talking to new people so go ahead! :)
