My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
How does one encapsulate a lifetime of experiences and shades of personality into a paragraph or two on a web site without sounding like a cliché? Well, you can rest assured that I am not a cliché, I am just me. I am here with no expectations, just hopes.

I am happy about what I am and where I am going in life, but having someone to share the good times with, and for us to tell each other 'it'll be ok' in the bad times would be nice.

I do believe we should try leave the world a better place than when we entered it. Hard to do I know, but we should try. Maybe that sounds contrived, but I really do believe that.

To keep my sanity I love to cycle and go hiking. Plus I'm quite keen on photography.

So that is me in a nutshell (but don't worry, that does not mean that I am a nut)!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I think the thing that drives me the most is learning about, and experiencing, the world. This may be from travel, or reading non-fiction, or watching documentaries or....whatever.

Work? Yep, I actually enjoy my job and I dare say I'm reasonably good at it.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cycling through rush hour traffic without getting myself killed...well, so far, so good! And...umm..wiggling my ears.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I often get told I have really blue maybe that? Or I am often told I have a kind face.....
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I read a lot...I've been called a chain reader and I was deeply flattered at that description. I read a lot of non fiction. I guess that is perhaps an attempt to understand this mind numbingly beautiful, but at times utterly confounding world we live in.

Richard Dawkins, Jared Diamond, Antony Beevor, Simon Singh, Nick Lane are all must reads. Plus I think if Bill Bryson was supreme ruler of this planet then the world would be a better place...or maybe not.

Movies? Baraka and Samsara above all else. I do tend to go for arthouse movies with a bit of thought and intelligence (Coen bothers especially). But I sometimes watch brain dead Hollywood cheese when the mood takes me, but that is not often. I gotta say, I am utterly sick to death of superhero movies.

Music? Love it, it is my life blood...more than anything. Prefer anything with a longer shelf life than dairy products. Lately listening to Sufjan Stevens, Lemon Jelly, Rammstein, Holy F***, The F*** Buttons, Shihad, Bob Dylan, Swans, Craig Leon, Mr Bungle, Nine Inch Nails, Boards of Canada, Flaming Lips and Underworld...

TV? Documentaries mainly...especially Attenborough, Brian Cox, Iain Stewart. Breaking Bad and Fargo, I miss you both! Top Gear. Plus I gotta admit, Star Trek...yep, I said it. Don't worry as it has been many years since I actually watched it.

Food...yum...especially anything with chili (I like it hot, even to the point where I'll need to shove the toilet paper in the fridge to get things cooling down....)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My bicycle, ipod, arms, legs, torso, head.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Will I find the perfect single track that I can ride without breaking every bone in my body...or where is the perfect hiking job...where to next...

Will I ever find my 100% enemy nemesis here, and if ever met here would we annihilate each other like matter and antimatter..
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
